Re: Jeff's RC12e project -edit from "AJs & Paragon chromies

Hmm... It does actually look like it was intentionally snapped off to clear the spur gear. Maybe it was replaced at some point with the wrong part and "modified" to fit? I have to fix that! That's going to drive me nuts every time I see it now. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164/shutup...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Where did you find a car like this? It is a very rare car usually raced in Europe around 1981/1982 on slippery tracks. Not suited for highgrip tracks. The chassis is not complete, there are links missing at the top of the chassis before the rear axle. This is a picture of a new car so you can see t...

Re: Vintage tires for a 12e -AJs & Paragon chromies

Any chance we can see more pictures of the car? It looks fantastic from what little I can see. I really love these little RC12's. Nice wheels too! Here's a few more pics I snapped- http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164/shutupanddrive714/RC%20crap/c4c4dbc1.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164...

The first generation Bolink Digger's shared this same basic chassis. I love these things!

Re: Snowhopper. Ski Patrol Beetle!

The bonus Grasshopper from leftover parts is about done. I just need to paint the body and do a few minor other things. It's pretty straightforward: G-hopper repop, vintage CRP front shock/tower upgrade, Troll red tires, black CRP 3 piece 1.5" rims, CRP stainless wheel hardware, lunch box wheel...

Re: Snowhopper. Ski Patrol Beetle!

It's just some parts I made, not a kit or anything.

Thanks dj_kilroy! I wanted to keep all the electronics vintage and primitive. I dig that stuff :D

Re: Crrrrash

I saw that happen live. Crazy. Worst crash I've ever seen a X Games. There were a couple of really bad crashes in the Moto events/practice too.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

SG Racing? I'm assuming that's who produced this since that is the only name on the chassis, but I'm having trouble finding further info since most search engines limit terms as short as "SG". anyone got further info/links to this sort of chassis? http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164/shu...

Re: Snowhopper. Ski Patrol Beetle!

You had posted this on the Tamiya club right? That forum just doesn't appreciate a nicely modded car at all. As I said before a very nice job. I do remember seeing a add for snow skies for tamiya at the back of RCCA pages. Yeah, I posted it on the forums and added in to my showroom there, and not m...

Re: Who have you met in person?

I did some hard time with Gregg (lowrydesign). A few years of hard time up in SF. In school... We were in school together, at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. It was great to meet him there. I clearly remember our first conversation when we both started school about us both having "Mo...

Jeff's RC12e project -edit from "AJs & Paragon chromies"

I've had some Paragon chrome wheels for a while now, and finally found tires to fit. They are AJ's and Twinn-k tires, all new in pack, but when I put them on the rims, they are a tad too narrow. The sizing is supposed to match the wheel size perfectly. Have they just drawn up over time due to age, o...

Re: Snowhopper. Ski Patrol Beetle!

It's done finally. Got the body mounted and detailed, added vintage electronics (my fav old school radio), and got the lights all wired up. There's an extra on/off switch on the side of the chassis for the lights. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164/shutupanddrive714/RC%20crap/1-1.jpg http://i47....
