That is awesome! You definitely have an early RC10 there. The newer RC cars may handle better at the race track, but there is something infinitely more cool about the old school cars. I would say the chassis was home made. it looks like a "butterfly" chassis with a built in bumper. Wheels could be home made for sure. Most of the other parts are CRP or RCH. Here's my thread with some of my projects and a lot of info- http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=32765
I couldn't justify spending that much on a body, just to have to sand the hell out of it. Most of the other parts say they have a polished finish but the pics still show a pretty decent texture. Maybe a high build primer and little sanding would hide most of it on the smaller parts. The wheel insert...
