need a little Optima Mid help

I was assembling this Mid last night, mostly just to see what pieces were missing, and I ran across something odd. The front diff case is split front to back, and not left/right like in all of the instruction manuals I can find. There's some other minor differences with the diff case too. :? What th...

Re: Just scored a DS

So you want to go with the rubber tires, and not the foams correct? They pop up on ebay frequently. a little patience and I'm sure you can find a decent set for a decent price. If you're going with rubber tires, do you want chrome or black wheels? here's black rears if thats what you're after- http:...

Re: j-sou's DS: NIB--> new built--> "dark trick"--> done!

Thanks guys! I forgot how good it feels to peel the protective mask off a freshly painted body! :lol: Beautiful. How did you mount the splitters/diffuser, with double-sided tape? Ordinarily I would use double stick tape or shoe goo, but this time I actually used a hot glue gun on the low setting. Yo...

Re: j-sou's DS: NIB --> new built --> "dark trick"

I guess this thread needs to be wrapped up since the car is done.... side note first- out of curiosity I tossed a couple of the new 6279 ball cups in with some other parts I was brightening up. It made them an even worse color! This pic doesn't really show the greenish color they are from the factor...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Geez, finally found a pair of these for a gasser project... I would always see them sell for $40+ Got these for $9 shipped. Glad to finally take "hobby tech" off the search radar... http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164/shutupanddrive714/RC%20crap/17C4EED9-DE4A-4A9A-9455-729C28AF44F7_zpsd...

j-sou's RC1

Just got this ride a few days ago. I got a great deal on it and had the intention of just flipping it, but like many cars I started to like it more and more once I got it out of the box. :lol: Now I'm really tempted to get it running before doing anything else to it. Well, before I start rambling......

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Is that a mid to late 70's Stingray body? That is one cool set up. Specs? yeah, and it looks like Delta re-pops that body! There's some other cool bodies there too that would fit the RC1 chassis. http://deltaplastikusa.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59_75&product_id=193 Hmm... :?

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Wasn't looking for one, but the price was right! 8) The paint just peels off the body. It must not be lexan paint. Anyone know if the body prop rod was a factory part, or home made? http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164/shutupanddrive714/RC%20crap/RC-10%20stuff/A7F5A832-5AAF-4EA8-BC51-C9E00E9EA501_...

I like your mods! Searching for vintage hop up parts is cool, but sometimes making your own parts is a lot funner! Nice work so far!

That is the coolest stool I have ever seen, plus you got hard wood flooring! This is a dream workshop! 8) It's a commercial vinyl floor covering :mrgreen: just some scrap left over from an office install. It's good to have friends in helpful industries 8) Too bad you don't have a friend that works ...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

I keep finding random stuff in my garage... This is a JG part of some sort. There's a lot of hardware in the bag though, so maybe it's part of a larger kit/hop-up or something? http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f164/shutupanddrive714/RC%20crap/WUT/60CFD97F-A8A8-4F75-B22D-E06644F7E099_zpsyhrow61l.jpg
