Re: WEST COAST VINTAGE RACE PLANNING STAGE

Hey Joey, was it James' jrx2? I spoke to him recently about a vintage race at Pegs too and he seemed thrilled by the idea of having one there, especially with the slash layout.

Re: RC10 springs?

Yup, those are all you'll need. General set up will be between green and silvers all around. On a smooth high-bite track with modern tires, blues may help if you experience traction-roll problems. Gold and reds are on the extreme side of hard springs for buggies, but hey you never know. Have fun tes...

Yes! The last alu tub chassis and a great one too. The angled sides actually further stiffen the tub. Bomb proof u say......... Rock on

Re: Yokomo Works 'Hybrid'

I gotta agree with brian, to comprehend how rare, I'm speechless..... To have all these rare parts is one thing, but to build this car and see the machine as a whole blows my mind! Fantastic, no doubt!

Re: looking to find some nice looking rims and street tires

For direct bolt-on, smaller on-road style rims and tires, you'll wanna go with those from the rc10DS. Ebay will be your best bet. If you want taller spoke rims, you can try to find hpi wide front 2.0 stars and 2.0 rears and mount up some custom works street tires. Lastly, you can go the pan car tire...

Re: yz834B RPS....... featuring mrlexan's repro body

Thanks for the comments guys! Body-off pics when I get the electronics a little more sorted. I'm working on a custom battery box for straight side by side 6-cell packs, I won't be using saddle packs.

yz834B RPS....... featuring mrlexan's repro body

I had a free weekend and got the chance to paint up a repro'd body from mrlexan. Thanks a million Jay! The chassis is standard rps spec, with the exception of a HT front shock tower - used and all. It'll be a runner like the rest of them 8)

Re: 10t2 vs t4

The T2 top shaft spacers are slightly thicker than normal axle spacers, AE part #7669. When going to the new slipper/top shaft, just substitute the old top shaft for the T4 top shaft. Don't worry about the T4 top shaft support spacer, but be sure to use the stock ones from the T2 (#7669). A T4 trans...

Re: 10t2 vs t4

The T2 transmission has the same ratio as the T4. It uses the same size diff gear. You can even use T4/B4 factory team lightened outdrives; Add a T4 top shaft and slipper setup and It'll be completely modernized. The only old part you'll still need is the idler gear, the one with the gear molded on ...

Re: Tunning EPA or EXP on a radio, Airtronics M8!!!!!

Yes, I use this all the time if I have a motor that's too fast for the track. With rubber tires I turn down the EPA down to the point where the tires stop ballooning. Just be sure to check the ESC heat sink after a few minutes to make sure it doesn't get too hot. EXP is for setting how sensitive th...

Re: RC10 B2 versus B3

A B3 is pretty much a beefed up B2, sort of like the way the rc10 world's car is to the team car, but they will drive and handle nearly the same 8)
