Re: Pics of my RC10's
More old school meets new school :D This runner project was the product of having left over parts from my composite craft truck build: a heavily used "A" gold tub, front truck nose and hacked motor plate. Basically another standard build with current electronics and tires (still on 1/4&quo...

Re: Brushless gearing for 10T w/Mamba Max & 5700kv motor
Here is the novak brushless gearing chart:
http://www.teamnovak.com/tech_info/brushless/br_gearing.html
The 5700kv motor is roughly between a 6.5 and 5.5 motor, so a 12.0 fdr would be a good starting point. Try 19/87 and go up or down from there (87/19) x 2.65 = 12.13![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Vintage race for the West Coast...Montclair CA
Talked with the track director today, looking more like March 14th or 21st. You guys better watch out too, carloco8 was tearin' up the track tonight!! When do you guys hit the track? Do you both do it together frequently? (homo-erotic interpretation unintentional) LOL :D Saturday is the "...

Re: Composite Craft RC10T
Thanks guys! The final touch has been added thanks to JK Racing. Proline narrow aero-dish rims wrapped with j82 groovy tires for racing.

Re: Bushings instead of bearings in slipper clutch assmebly?
From what I remember, using the original bearing and thrust bearing allowed the slipper to "slip" smoothly when the threshold was reached. When using a hotter motor, the slipper had to be cranked down tighter. With one or two bushings replacing the bearings, there is a little more friction...

Re: Composite Craft RC10T
The j82 rims are about 1mm or 2 more inset than the original 3-piece rims, but barely noticeable. The j82 tires are just plain great! Soft compound and narrow setup should give it an aggressive buggy-like feel. Give it a try :D For the chassis protector, I'm using the JC stuff. http://www3.towerhobb...

Composite Craft RC10T
Here is my recently completed composite craft 10T project. It started from a truck that was pieced together with an "A" gold tub and some left over parts (pretty much all that's left now). I decided to revamp the old truck when I came across a nice CC chassis on ebay a couple of months ago...

Re: Holy cr_p
With the rarity of any yokomo rims, I'm not that surprised. I think its just the craze of OEM and aftermarket 2.2in yoke rims. Not so much the 2.0in rims. For people trying to build vintage yokomo runners with current rubber tires or ultimate yz10's, any 2.2's will go for a good price (if they are w...

Re: last 10t revisions?
this is one reason...... even if i could afford it, i don't think i'd buy a SNIB kit. atleast not a CE stealth kit, or any truck after the 7001. i would most likely want to open it up to build it. if i did, and saw a bunch of black parts, i'd be friggin' pissed off. Exactly!!!!!!!!! Other than the ...
