Re: Airtronics wheel radio FM crystal KINGS

Yup, the CX2P was like a revamp of the old CS2P in a 3P/3Ps body.

Re: Airtronics wheel radio FM crystal KINGS

No problem, I love hearing about controller stories! A good radio is one of those pieces of r/c equipment that seem to last forever. However, with these radios here, the 3p and 3Ps are not my originals. They were sold bitd, but I've found the two I have now on ebay within the past few years for grea...

Airtronics wheel radio FM crystal KINGS

The first R/C radio I ever held was my father's kraft/ko propo kp3kw 3ch. am controller. I absolutely loved it and now that its gone I miss it, but from then on its been Airtronics FM since the CS2P for my racers. I've been racing for a long time and with 2.4Ghz slowly taking over the R/C industry I...

Re: Pics of my RC10's

MOmo, the rear CF tower on my tekin is 2.2mm thick. Id say 2mm is as thin as you should go for a shock tower. 2.5mm-3mm is nice and anything thicker is a little overkill. After I cut it out, I ran a bead of super glue along the edges to protect it and make it a bit stiffer too. When working with CF,...

Re: Pics of my RC10's

Hi guys, I found some time away from my busy schedule to get some paint on my world's car. Simple paint job, but stickers always help to set it apart. Now for a few pictures :D

Re: Composite Craft RC10T

After a little more tinkering, I've decided to go brushless/lipo with this project. It's now set up for stock class with a 17.5 LRP motor/speed control and orion lipo. I was curious about the weight and after bringing out the scale, it is still a small chunk above the 60 oz./1701 gram ROAR weight li...

From the creative mind comes a creative product! It's definitely one car to be set apart from the others

Looking forward to the finished ride scr8p 8)

Re: Composite Craft RC10T

Hi vintage AE, the Composite Craft chassis is very nice and rigid, but ofcourse not always going to be necessary depending on usage (full blown vintage racer, backyard basher/crasher, or sittin pretty on the shelf). However, I can personally say that the tq10 chassis is quite flexable, even more so ...

Re: RC10 chassis info.

Aside from the chassis, the other key features to the tq10 are the sidwinder body (nicely portrayed on Asso_man's 8) and a black anodized motor plate with just the three holes to mount the 6-gear trans (no forth hole for the stealth trans). Ooooo, the different versions. Wasn't it determined by whet...

Re: Pics of your favorite RC10

The one, the only, T2 buggy  Kept it true to the rc10 line with standard front and rear suspension and 1/4" rear axles. The rest is all T2. Apparently the poor thing would have never stood a chance in production anyhow with the B2 design having a composite chassis and all. Still my fav...

Re: Pics of my RC10's

Yup Rich is right too, one lower cut out on each side to compensate for the rear shock tower lower mounts and you're all set! As for posting pics I'd put them in the relevant sections and if you're feel'n sneaky, post a group pic at the end :D

Re: Pics of my RC10's

Hi jwscab, I have an associated viper body on the tekin car. The key is to trim a little heavy around the rear shock towers. I've tried the other rc10 bodies (protech I and II) but they just don't seem to fit correctly no matter how much you cut them. Luckily you can still get the viper from towerho...

Re: Pics of my RC10's

More old school meets new school :D This runner project was the product of having left over parts from my composite craft truck build: a heavily used "A" gold tub, front truck nose and hacked motor plate. Basically another standard build with current electronics and tires (still on 1/4&quo...
