Re: Lazer?
the chassis looks too narrow to be a lazer I think.
can you take the car outside and take a picture of just the car filling the entire frame? better light and a bigger picture might really help

Re: Solder problem!!!! NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
If it helps at all, this is the size of the chisel tip on my 60W hakko iron as compared to a standard deans connector on a lipo. This tip looks like hell (it's been used extensively and is years old) but as soon as it heats up and you wipe it off on a sponge, it's good as new. it cruds up in the coo...

Re: Solder problem!!!! NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
I guess I really can't speak for the wire you're using since I can't see it or work with it, but I can say that a 60W chisel will have absolutely no issues with the big 10 gauge wires that come on some of the new lipos. I regularly solder connectors onto this kind of wire and all sorts of other stuf...

Re: Solder problem!!!! NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
My opinion/what I would try. 1) cut another half inch of the wire off. 2) find yourself some good quality, 60-40 rosin core, LEAD based solder (none of the lead free junk). ditch the acid core, doesn't belong anywhere near this kind of work. 3) find yourself a 45+W iron with a flat chisel tip and di...

Re: Losi 'retro fit' trans help needed-
A template on the clearancing necessary to the chassis is available on the vintagelosi site as part of the XX retrofit instructions. You have to clearance many Pro SE chassis as well, as many did not come with the recess molded in. Be careful or you will go all the way through the chassis and have a...

Re: Original JRX-Pro SE shock pistons?
Sure, I can do pics. See attached. I pulled all four pistons from the car. I find it interesting that there is 1 #1, 1 #2, 1 #3, and 1 #4 ... with number four also carrying the digit six. Maybe 1-4 is the position on the mold, and #6 indicates that they are all #56 (which makes sense, since they are...

Re: Original JRX-Pro SE shock pistons?
so, this is greatly confusing. I have some pistons that have NO numbers. I have pistons of identical color with DIFFERENT numbers. I thought Losi rated these things by number like #56, #60, etc. which indicated specifically the size of the holes in the pistons? Does this mean that there can be multi...

Re: Original JRX-Pro SE shock pistons?
any idea what the # equates to then?
I thought Losi color coded the pistons exclusively.
I can break out my caliper and measure the pistons that were in the shocks, but all the holes looked identical despite the different number. WIll check tonight.

Original JRX-Pro SE shock pistons?
I'm perusing the Pro-SE instruction addendum on vintagelosi; it lists A5012 as the part number for the front and rear shock pistons. In the exploded diagram on how to assemble the shocks however, it says that the pistons for the rear are marked "5" and the fronts are marked "4" (...

Re: Looking for some brushed motor recommendations
a kyosho magnetic mayhem might work well in your lunchbox. good torque, decent power, durable. they sold zillions so you should be able to find one. for the rc10 and rc10t, you could make them "all associated" and run some reedy mod motors, either hand wound or machine wound ,whatever you ...

Re: My new driver !
Well it looks like I do not have to worry about tranny issues :D Thanks for all of your replys. DHC6 - The XX carriers narrow the front end, but like I mentioned above, I discovered that the XXX carriers will work too, this setup will make it 1/2 inch wider than stock. The XX front end you lose alm...

not sure if you already have this info or not, but any of these should fit, if it makes your search any easier: A3910 (90t orange) A3908 (88t green) A3906 (86t red) A3904 (84t purple) edit: if you already have the tranny input shaft which is compatible with a slipper, you should be able to get the d...

Re: Need length of Idler gear shaft in Retrofit Transmission
You're in luck, I have my XX retrofit tranny apart due to rebuilding my Jrx Pro SE. Sadly the case has some damage, but I can measure the idler shaft for you! The diameter measures 0.1240 on my caliper (so yes, 1/8"); and the length measures as 0.7465, I'd call that 3/4" long. edit: this i...

Re: Ebay Shock Score
the current double o-ring LOSA5015 cartridges will fit the x2/pro shocks. they are slimmer so you will need to use a spacer or two to maintain the original shock geometry (extended and compressed length of the shock). edit: reference this thread for more info http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=...
