I thought the 4wd came with shorter rear shock shafts than the Classic.
It does come with the 1.02 shafts, not the 1.32 as the original. So not as long a limiter is needed.

Re: Spring advice

Associated 6491 springs, Kysosho scw026 spring set I believe would work also.

Re: Next up- The Halsey edition RC10

In my opinion, a few details that would have really improved this edition.
Lighter gold anodizing, sides of chassis trimmed down, holiday buggy type tires, and bearings.

My bottom load shock caps aren't the same as the classic rerelease ones that I have.
Associated did change the caps design at some point, correct?

Re: Attaching Steering Servos to a rc10 pan chassis

I have attached servo's with servo tape to my on road and off road chassis without issue. I also attach my battery cups with it. Using 3M VHB tape currently. Thanks. Where do you get yours from? What model number are you using? I see some pretty large price disparities on Amazon based on model numb...

Re: What factors led to the Ultima's win at the '87 Worlds?

That win was a big surprise to me. Before and after the 1987 world's I still never did see an Ultima at any of my local tracks. Strange how they advertised being "The next world champion", then were. Rumors that I heard was that they had special tires, do not know if there's any truth to it.

Re: Cheap Way Into 1:24 Slot Cars?

I run 1:32 at the house.
Alot of beautiful cars to choose from and the track sets aren't too expensive.
