Re: Post your vintage PRINTS here in the vintage RC Photo Al

I've posted 5 more vids from the 80's (all oval). Some good racing, screw ups, and classic rides. I was calling the play-by-play during 3 of those, when I worked for the hobby shop.

Re: Post your vintage PRINTS here in the vintage RC Photo Al

Thanks kaiser... I was running 7cell 1500Mah NiCd, a Race Prep 15x2 motor, Novak T4 ESC, and a basically stock RC10 with a Hot Trick wide front plate. We used to run an outlaw night with 2 classes: 6cell and 7cell "run what you brung". It was about 40 degrees that night, and the track was ...

Re: Post your vintage PRINTS here in the vintage RC Photo Al

Here's another bit from the old days: Me taking a Yokomo C4, an Optima mid, and 2 Losi JRX2's to school on the oval with my RC10.

Mods- If this is in the wrong place, please move it.

Re: Russ' "New" old goldpan

Thanks. I originally got them for the kingpins and extra parts, but I was debating on using the inline setup instead.

Re: Russ' "New" old goldpan

Thanks for the extra info. As long as the process doesn't warp anything, I think I'd be good. I don't care to race it, so strength integrity shouldn't be an issue. On a different note, I just got some steering blocks/axles/c-hubs from ebay, and they are inline axles (as opposed to the original offse...

Re: Russ' "New" old goldpan

Here's the diff rebuild using the "Jammin Jay" kit. The original bearing was shot. Thanks to "templeofspeed" for posting the pic on another thread, since the kit had no instructions and was vastly different from stock. There's no spring on the diff nut, but it uses another thrust...

Re: Steering bell cranks

Since we're on the subject of bell cranks, I used to have a metal set that used RC10 bearings on my old car. I've seen a few on some cars here. Didn't Losi make those sometime before they started the JRX2, or does my memory fail me? ...I'd like to find another one like it.

Re: jammin jay diff

I just picked up one of these rebuild kits for my 6 gear. It didn't include the diff hubs, only the thrust bearings and washers (part # J-109). I used the stock shaft, drive hubs and rings. So far, so good. Thanks to templeofspeed for posting the pic. It really helped with the rebuild, since there w...

Re: My New Gold Runner w/ 6 gear

Sounds good. Hopefully, I can make it out there...I've never seen the track, but after reading this post, I googled it and found out I live almost on top of it (Winter Haven).
