Thanks for the extra info. As long as the process doesn't warp anything, I think I'd be good. I don't care to race it, so strength integrity shouldn't be an issue. Here's the diff rebuild using the "Jammin Jay" kit. The original bearing was shot. Thanks to "templeofspeed" for posting the pic on another thread, since the kit had no instructions and was vastly different from stock. There's no spring on the diff nut, but it uses another thrust...

Since we're on the subject of bell cranks, I used to have a metal set that used RC10 bearings on my old car. I've seen a few on some cars here. Didn't Losi make those sometime before they started the JRX2, or does my memory fail me? ...I'd like to find another one like it.

I just picked up one of these rebuild kits for my 6 gear. It didn't include the diff hubs, only the thrust bearings and washers (part # J-109). I used the stock shaft, drive hubs and rings. Sounds good. Hopefully, I can make it out there...I've never seen the track, but after reading this post, I googled it and found out I live almost on top of it (Winter Haven).
