You're off to a nice start. I was looking to set up one of mine to run dirt oval, and was debating SC10 front axles and knuckles (mostly for the tire/wheel choices.)
I see you're from Florida. Where are you looking to race?

Re: First RC10 Goldpans on the way!
Welcome to the site! You made a great find on your first RC10. The Losi bellcrank was was the best upgrade you could've gotten in my opinion, as well as the ball links. However, the add-on motor guard would have to go. There's nothing else you really need improve on otherwise. If you're looking for ...

Re: Johnny's new DS builds
Johnny,
I'm interested in the SC10 front axles you used. Did you only use the axles and steering blocks, or did you have to use the uprights, as well? Also, what adapters did you use on the rear end? Thanks in advance.

Re: What a moron, fried a new ESC
I know the feeling you had, Jake...the one where you ask yourself, "Did I just f---ing do what I THINK I did?!?" usually followed by a period of throwing or breaking something nearby, self-loathing, and finally settling into a state of shame. You been peeking through my window again?

Awesome job! I remember when those were the rage. Now I'd love to find one without having to take on a second mortgage.

Very nice job on the trailers! I especially like the wood planking.
Mine was just a throw-together from some junk in the garage.

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
Thanks a lot. I was really just going for scale, but I don't think the power transfer would be too good for pulling. Most pullers I've seen have a direct drive, and I'm running a gearbox with a driveshaft....Still, I would be curious to see how it pulls.

Re: Resurrecting/Modernizing Your Vintage R/C's Electronics
I have one last inquiry: What is considered as a "non-programmable" esc? After speaking to the local shop, I found that vintage class would use a "sensored, NON-programmable esc". It appears that all are programmable to some extent. Also, I would like to have the ability to bump ...

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
Well, I said I was done, but after seeing this sitting on the counter at work every day, I had to make a few cosmetic improvements. First, I shortened the whole thing an inch, which brought it more to scale. Then, I re-did the grille, 3-point linkage, and added wheel inserts and drag link.....You kn...

Re: Resurrecting/Modernizing Your Vintage R/C's Electronics
Lots of great information here. Since I gave up racing, my technology has been stuck in the 90's (Nimh/brushed motors/AM radio). Those have been fine for my occasional parking lot running, but I just learned of a new RC shop near me that's building a racing complex. One of their tracks is going to b...
