Re: My RC10s
Well, for being a "beginner", you've put together some nice machines. I like the original car's look, which is why I'd make it a shelf queen, but I'd take the one you covered the holes on, and do a little customizing. People get into these for different reasons, and I think the main attrac...

Re: My RC10s
Very nice, original ride! Looks good enough to be a shelf queen/display piece, as is.

Re: Calling all RC10 Guys
I just saw this thread, Bent. What class requirements are you running that in? I'm sure it hooks up nice on that track. ...BTW where's Warsaw,Tx.?

Re: First RC10 Goldpans on the way!
That's always the best fix.
My problem was losing the e-clips from the suspension hinge pins.

It's great to see another circle track fan here. I haven't raced in many years, but a new track is opening near me...I'll be having my 6-gear out there very soon.

Re: First RC10 Goldpans on the way!
Hmmm...so the issue with the balls not spinning is the width of the spur gear surrounding the ball, not the fact that its too tight and the balls wont spin huh? It was something noticed several years ago with Kimbrough gears, too. Now that I think about it, I could be wrong about Robinson, but chec...

Re: First RC10 Goldpans on the way!
Got her runnin today after a quick trip to the LHS for some parts. Im gonna swap a 48p Robinson racing spur from one of my SCX10s, just gotta figure out how to make the balls spin a little free-er. I haven't bought a Robinson gear in many years, but we had to trim the lip (where the balls fit in) o...

Re: rc10 bomber
I've been trying to do a bit of research, and found a pretty good deal on the system I mentioned. Like I stated before, I still have brushed motors, Nimh batteries, and a Futaba AM radio...I need major upgrades in order to compete. I was looking at another thread, and found some 2S 5000mah 50C Lipos...

Re: rc10 bomber
The class runs 13.5 brushless. I plan to pick up a 13.5 as my 5700 is a little too fast. Currently set up with a Cyclone and 12x2 Reedy. What ESC are you going to run? I am considering a Novak GTB2 x-drive with a 13.5 Novak Ballistic. I saw a system with an Edge 2S, but its limit is 10.5 turns, and...

Re: Some Bullet Racing/Raborn Racing nostalgia
Wow,this brings back a lot of memories. I used to work/race at the old Roadrunner RC in Houston. I remember Barry when he was just starting out with his shop. It was a tiny place, but I admired the fact he was chasing his passion for design, instead of just a retail hobby shop. But those days were w...

Re: Racer's blues
I understand fully. I started racing back in the mid-80's, in my early 20's. I was single at the time, and it was nothing to spend $300-400 a month on parts to go racing twice a week. I lived and breathed RC cars. Then life took me a different direction, and I stopped for several years. About 13 yea...

Re: rc10 bomber
It's on US92 about a mile from the Polk toll road, going towards Lakeland on the right. If you're not looking, you'll miss it. I just happened to see it one evening while passing by. I heard they had another track in Lakeland, and moved to the new location. I haven't raced dirt oval in over 20 years...

Re: rc10 bomber
I've never been to SS hobbies. I'm in Winter Haven, and Yupers is building a new track on US92 in Auburndale. They're supposed to have the first run tomorrow, so I'm going to find out what's popular there, since the wife gave me the go-ahead (and a blank check) to get back into racing again.
