I would've loved to hear stories from a first-hand account. Thanks for the awesome pics, too.

NEVER be without WD40...cleans bearings, cleans tape, polishes bodies, and makes it smell all "racy".

Re: Receiver & Radio Control Help

I don't see how even a defective or dead servo could damage a receiver, servos don't output any voltage and therefore nothing goes from the servo to the receiver, if I'm not mistaken. You are correct, sir. I have both of those receivers, and they're on 75Mhz. If RC4Lyfe was swapping around radio ge...

Re: My very first hobby RC

Nice job, so far. You might want to spray the chassis with a clear coat, if you used paint, instead of powder coat. It'll help protect it longer. I had to do the same thing to a DS chassis.

Re: rc10 bomber

It was their first raceday. Most people were still trying to figure out setups. It looked like most were loose, especially the latemodels (short course truck chassis). There was one guy in the open sprints with a Custom Works car that had it hooked up good....Turned 39 laps in 4 min.

Re: What's special about my RC10DS?

Personally, I'd keep it...If nothing more, than to make it a shelf queen or light street runner. If you have any interest in RC at all, you'll regret selling selling it. (Especially since you're the original owner, and it's a member of the RC10 "family").

Re: Some Bullet Racing/Raborn Racing nostalgia

I remember you Russ although I'm sure you wouldn't remember me if you saw me. I was one of those endless numbers of kids who was always there. I often raced with Barry and still see him often. My best rc memories are from race nights at Roadrunner. I wish someone had video of some of the off road r...

Re: Finally a introduction ....Sorry it took so long....

First off, Welcome to the habit/addiction/nostalgia/obsession. I'm sure you'll find some niche in these cars that'll keep you hooked! Why is this little rig so addicting??? Matt My guess is that this car is an icon of RC, kind of like the '57 Chevy is to real cars. Except for fine details that...

Re: Last Gold Pan finally in, and its a Mutt

Now THAT'S the car you need to trick out with aftermarket goodies. It looks to be in pretty good shape, but I'm sure some of the parts are a bit sloppy judging by the tire wear. Just be warned...Once you start, it's a hard habit to break!

Have fun,
Russ

I did a little surfing around, and found Yupers Speedway announcing their first race on Nov. 3 at 2pm on another RC board.
