Thanks a lot...I'm going to the track tomorrow to try and get it dialed in.

Re: Project Circle Track
Thanks a lot, Jay. I'm running Gens Ace 5000, 50C packs and my speedo does have the LVC. So far, I've understood the charge rate, but I was a bit lost on was balance vs. fast, and if you could top-off packs....Lipos are a whole new game to me. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks again.

Re: Project Circle Track
Well, I got everything set up, charged my first battery, and strapped on some old foams to test on the street.....HOLY CRAP!!!! That old 6-gear never had it so good. I can only imagine what a higher Kv motor would do...Time to go racin' :D On a serious note: What recommendations does anyone ...

Re: Project Circle Track
Thanks guys, I appreciate it....I think that body would be better on a TC or pan car chassis, but I'm being overly critical of myself. I've never been a fan of swaybars. Personally, I think they're useless on a dirt car. Besides, I run the front suspension really stiff, so there shouldn't be much ch...

Re: Project Circle Track
Almost done.... Now I just need some track time to get it set up. The jury is still out on the body, but it'll do for now.
Here's the paint job inspiration.

The electronics are in. Now I just need to get everything set up, and mount new tires.
BTW, here's the backstory on the car:

Re: What can you tell me about the TC3?
I have a TC4, and it's a great runner. Easy to work on, and it's basically the same as the 3. Most parts should interchange with no problem.

Re: Wore out Gold Pan Bronco Buggy
It's coming along pretty nice. You won't be sorry about dying everything. White looks nice, if you're building an original shelf queen, but lousy if you're running it. If you use lexan paint on the outside, it'll have a flat finish. You may want to get some spray clear sealant for ceramics. It's mad...

Re: Speed Buggy...Newest member of the fmily...
My first thought was to ditch the rear sway bar, but after scrolling down, I see you've got bigger problems than that. Overall, I think it'll be a decent runner.

Re: Project Circle Track
I'm enjoying building again...I just hope I can still drive decently. That video was in the winter time. It was about 40 degrees, and the track was like ice. The class was 7-cell Nicd, run-what-you-brung (outlaw night). That race was the A-main. The guy with the orange optima mid kept coming to the ...

Re: Project Circle Track
OK...Worlds bell crank is in...I think there was supposed to be 2 flanged bushings, but a little creative washer placement fixed that. The body mounts are in, and I'm getting the body painted up and mounted. I'm a little disappointed on the way it sits, but it wasn't designed to be a dirt track body...

Re: Project Circle Track
Thanks for the tip Johnny. I'll have to check it out. Right now, I'm trying to figure out the worlds bell crank. I got 1 flanged bushing, and 3 non-flanged. There's some slop in it, vertically on the screws. Rem, I'm not sure how many times you can get away with removing the diff tube. I've done it ...

Re: hobby stores are dangerous....
save the tires, throw out the rest. That's exactly what I did....I bought one when they first came out because I thought it looked like an interesting platform. I found they didn't make large enough bottles of Loctite to keep it from vibrating apart, and the internal gear ratio was WAY to...
