Re: predator 95 pro

Whether these cars drove crappy or awesome, one thing is for sure; they are a piece of art that anyone would love to have in their vintage collection!

Egad, who makes a cartoon about 3 children that have been murdered! Can't say I've seen that one.

Re: Tamiya craigslist jackpot?

Nice score indeed. I'm not the biggest vintage Tamiya guy either, but if I found that for a good deal, I'd have totally scooped it up, too!

Re: A rant about flocks of gaudy peacocks

I was going to post an example of my least favorite style of painting, but then I saw it on this forum, and didn't want to offend anyone. :P

Run them along the side, a la frog-style.

Re: new to the garage....ultima baja bug :)

Nice score! I had one of those when I was 10 yrs old or so. My friend had one of the little F1 cars, also by Kyosho. I think the scale for the F1 was a little bit bigger. He had a big unfinished basement that we used to make a track in. So much fun! The biggest pain in the butt were the e clips hold...

Re: TB02 spur gear mod?

Here's me running the TB-02 during the first day of test-runs on Friday: I'm very happy with this chassis! I managed to get my fastest lap down a little over half a second. My Average lap time was much faster too, and much more consistent than last Sunday. The track wa...

Re: TB02 spur gear mod?

Here's a look at the TB, ready to run tonight: Not the tidiest of wiring jobs, but when I have a bit more time (i.e. sometime this weekend) I'll sass it up, and hide all the wires. I didn't have time, as I wanted to get it up and running for tonight's impromptu open practice at the Depot track. tb02...

Re: Racing: Cars are better / faster ... increase race durat

Here, we often run 5 minute quals, 6 minute mains. Sometimes 6 minute quals, too. Once in a while we run 7 minute mains, but not too often. I'd be happy with 8-10 minute mains in either on or offroad. (time permitting. no one wants a weekday club race ending at 1 in the morning!) However, a couple o...

Re: TB02 spur gear mod?

I think I was successful converting over to 64 pitch gears last night. (I won't actually know until I get it onto the track tomorrow) Right now as it stands, I'm at a 4.3 FDR. A little lower than the 4.0 maximum, but I thought I'd start here, to make sure I don't run too hot. Here are all the detail...

Re: TB02 spur gear mod?

Well, I bought all the parts, and after getting it put back together, it seems like it may work. If my math was correct, I should be at a 4.0 FDR. I put in a 64 pitch spur using the adapter on the M tree. (thanks, jwscab!)
I'll post pics and stuff later.
