To cut or not to cut.
Ok, Dan over at DODC sent this to me. He saw my vintage dirt modified body I was making. He suggested a solution for my hood. So sent this to chop it up. Do you think I should chop up a perfectly good body just for an EDM nose? http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/182665_1586236549648_1647...

Re: Monster Truck body!
Looks good, pretty clean. Yeah, the effect is fairly simple. You can use lace too. Another cool trick is the crumpled bag trick. Seriously, we should have a section for paint tricks.

Re: Just picked these up, what am I sitting on??????
I used the normal CLR before realizing that I should have used the CLR Kitchen/Bath cleaner. I must say none of the parts melted or appear damaged, they became very very clean! I did the Hydro Peroxide trick too but should have done the parts separate to gauge if they really did whiten...cause they ...

That's an awesome story. The one thing I've always loved about our sport is that mainly it's made up of good people that are willing to help out. I agree with the above post, we need to see some pictures!

Jealous...I need another tub. Did you check out the thread on the 25 years of the RC10? Some good reading there that will shed some light. But agree with the other post. I think some cars were made on monday mornings and friday afternoons.

Re: Picked up a RC10: Future 90's EDM project.
Update: Kipp reports my lexan is on the way. A member over at DODC sent me some pics of his suggestion for a center section using a new AE sprint car body. He's sending it to me for free. So I made a donation to Solly's MS Walk campaign in his name. Really have to appreciate generous people. However...
Re: Slot Cars
WOW. That's all I can say. I love this site...cause I forgot all about slot cars. I used to have these smaller scales and ran the bigger ones too...what were they? 1/32? Raced at A&S Hobbies in Fulton, NY (Where Redneck RC currently resides).

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off"
I was planning on entering but to be honest, I'm just cleaning up an old Cadillac, slapping on some vintage parts and building an old school EDM body. Don't really think it's what the build off was started for.

Re: got this yesterday
Sweet deal. Even have the novak electronics too. I agree with restoring it but the good thing if your gonna run it, use the black parts. Then you'll have the factory white parts to fall back on to shelf. That's what I plan to do.

Re: frog rear suspension, any way to actually make it work?
We moved the shocks up like that on our Blackfoot back in the day. But the biggest improvement like other's said is buying new shocks. Have you thought of telfon on the pivot point? I don't have one of these or the Blackfoot in front of me but I'm sure I could get it to handle. I actually liked the ...

Re: Picked up a RC10: Future 90's EDM project.
So waiting on lexan and figured I'd try my hand at building a template. This is my progress so far. I haven't built a EDM body in at least 18 years. So I'm sure the finished product will look better. http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs909.ash1/181735_1567350197501_1647816918_1461711_29...

Re: Picked up a RC10: Future 90's EDM project.
Ok, so got some stuff in today. The wife didn't even kill me. I ordered "RC10" bolts from Fastner Express. I was very skeptical as the bag was very small. Sure enough, not enough bolts to finish the job. So looks like I'll have to order some stuff later down the road. Also got in a brand n...
