Re: Polish anyone.

Anyone have some helpful hints to accomplish this? I don't think I could get the same results. Well, let me stop there and do some searching out here but think a How to Polish would be a good sticky!!!

Re: Discussion about possible aluminum transmission and part

I'm still thinking it would be nice to have an old looking 6 gear case running modern stealth gears inside...but that's just me and wishful thinking. lol. If it all works out, I might hire Walt to make some replacement parts for my KRP cars.

Re: Discussion about possible aluminum transmission and part

Sorry, I gave him what I have.

The 2.25 transmission I have is not an original white gearbox. It's a black version. Again, I didn't have a stealth chassis so I hope it will work.

Re: Discussion about possible aluminum transmission and part

Just a heads up for those keeping track or following this thread. Currently down the road from Walt at airport. After picking up my son, I'll be meeting with Walt. I've packed up the Cadillac 6 gear and a Kranzel terminator. It's a B3 based I believe. I haven't torn down tranny but hoping its a 2:4....

Re: Worst "dyi" rc guide ever.

WOW. Wonder how exciting "remote" control racing would be. You'd have to run behind the car as it's a remote as in has wire. Someone should at least tell him it's "RADIO" controled. But I guess I've been doing it wrong all these years cause he makes it sound so simple. Back to th...

Re: Discussion about possible aluminum transmission and part

Looking like I'm getting out of work late these days. I'll be heading to Rochester friday and should be able to swing by. Probably won't be able to go over much but we can handle the chat chit on here. I'm trying to get out of work by 5pm and leaving the house about 6. Think I have to be at the airp...

Re: What have you had to invent?

I'm currently trying to reinvent the KRP cars. But one of the soldiers has a 1/10th scale Slider. Since I'm hitting a wall with the KRP car, I'm half tempted to build a scale cage on the slider since Losi screwed it up in the looks department!!!

Re: Discussion about possible aluminum transmission and part

Guys, I'm sorry to report I've had a busy and tiring week at work. Monday I leave for the field for a week. So I've not been able to link up with Walt. I am going to bring him my Kranzel Terminator as someone had mentioned a similar bulkhead and now bell cranks. There is no question Walt can get the...

Re: Cars from your youth

Well if we're talking of my pre license youth, I was in love with many shapes and sizes of wonderful iron. I grew up in the shop with race cars, rigs, and even farm equipment. But most of my favorites were found on the movie screen!!! Trucks: http://www.bigfoot4x4.com/images/bf1-13.jpg Original Bigf...

Was the top car designed by someone that drove an old hoopty El Camino? UGLY!

The bottom car looks like someone didn't know how to draw curves and just kept drawing lines with his ruler. Weird looking.

Re: What do you consider to be 'vintage' ???

I think Reggie has it pegged. I started in early 90's with an o.g. blackfoot and then a Cadillac RC10. I'm not as old as some of ya farts...so something vintage to me might be slightly different. But a vintage B3 on eBay....come on mannnnnn!
