Re: If anyone cares..... this is what I have been doing

Great shots; you've definitely got the EYE for it!!! Photography is one of those time consuming passions that can get in the way of other hobbies; we're in the middle of 'eagle season' here in the Midwest and when the rest of the world is inside racing Janice and I are freezing our BUTTS off!!! AND,...

Re: Jrx-2 bodies on ebay, from original mold?

Guys, I honestly think that you need a bit of a reality check here... And it's certainly NOT to poke at Horizon Hobby or the company they own - Team Losi; but you need to realize that what is our PASSION is their livelihood. Horizon is a HUGE corporation that was recently purchased by it's president...

Re: Wrenching on the XXX-NT w/ .12Picco

Carb is supposed to be stationary and NOT spin. With that said, you should probably use some RTV (sensor safe) where the carb meets the case - it doesn't take much but my guess is that it will leak since it's obviously not getting super tight. A dab around where you tighten might help a bit too. Als...

Re: hobby king sct kit

I've reviewed a couple of the Hobbyking cars for RC Driver and I will say that they are WAY better than I imagined - I did the Trooper 4 x 4 and the Nitro Rumble 1/8. The Trooper was 'light' in the electronics area - SLOW steering servo. The Nitro Rumble was a LOT better in all regards including an ...

Re: Traxxas Spec Class Racing - Does this happen anywhere?

Currently there is a stock spec Slash class in the traveling Short Course Showdown series run by Scotty Ernst: http://www.shortcourseshowdown.com and I believe that there is a similar class at Shawnee Raceway in Overland Park, KS: http://www.shawneeraceway.com It's ALWAYS close racing in these class...

Re: Novak Cooling Fan

My opinion is that fans are usually a good thing; to the point that they lead you down the road to tall gearing and the excess heat is masked by the fan.... Just like any other potentially performance enhancing accessory, prudence can be a good thing! I run fans on several of my higher performance t...

I'm not directing this at anyone but just attempting to add a bit of depth to the discussion.... It's very easy for me (and lotsa' others) to loose sight of the fact that RPM and the majority of the manufacturers and suppliers are businesses - providing parts and modifications for our HOBBY! It's th...

Not an expert on the gas stuff, but I think you should use the correct pinion. I think it is done that way because the engine mount is not adjustable to move motor closer to spur. They use to sell them in pairs. A-9379 20 Tooth Clutch Bell w/74 Tooth Spur Gear But I could be wrong on this, I have n...

well, I for one would be willing to pay stupid money for a replica conversion kit. so if you ever do make a limited run, id be very keen oh yeah, fyi, there were 15 91 cars made plus the protype (vs 3 prototype 89 worlds cars), 6 cars still are at associated and the rest all went to the drivers tha...
