Are these Cat XLS driveshafts?

Some of the vintage Schumacher driveshafts I have are shorter. They are not modified i.e. they havn't just been cut down. Are these from older Cats? Can I use them on my Procat and would there be any advantage? Any comments welcome. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m134/kaszal/IMG_0703.jpg http://...

Yokomo wheels on Procat

I'm going to try some of these Yokomo dish wheels from JC Racing. Luckily I got a set of RW Racing adaptors too. Does anyone have experience of using these on vintage Schueys? http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m134/kaszal/IMG_0702.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m134/kaszal/IMG_0699.jpg

Re: Topcat / Cougar Differential Differences?

If it's any help, here are some tips on restoring your old diff... You can soak the parts in brake cleaner, which is cheap too. Give 'em a good scrub with a toothbrush. Also cotton "pipe cleaners" are useful for poking through the ball holes. Rinse off the fluff after though. Acetone will ...

I've had an assortment of cool bits waiting to go into this build and they include- alloy front gearbox housing, alloy 'super hex' front diff hubs, 23mm PRO diff for the rear, ceramic diff balls, Bosscat slipper, Procat front uprights, Bosscat rear lower pivot, performance belt kit, MMS alloy rear ...

Super diff and alloy front gearbox housings

I've seen these parts on a couple cars on various forums... but I would love to know where I can get them (arm and leg ready to sell) http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m134/kaszal/08-11-2010004.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m134/kaszal/IMG_0189.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m134/k...

Re: Procat rebuilt for Li-Fe batteries

Thanks for the advice Jeff. It'll be interesting to see what's the distribution on your Lazer. I read there were some team drivers at the last winter series in Stotfold... http://www.kyoshoeurope.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=329:stotfold-winter-series-rnd-4&catid=104:...

Re: Procat rebuilt for Li-Fe batteries

Damn it, you got me thinking now... if the cells were mounted "longitudinally" you could also fit an XLS shell (the best!) Wouldn't it also lessen the roll (yaw?) for better handling? You'd just need two battery end thingies like the old RC10 brackets (?) and some make-shift servo ...

Re: Procat rebuilt for Li-Fe batteries

Good idea Henrik, like this...

I doubt I'll change after all the work I've done on it but good idea anyway.

Re: Procat rebuilt for Li-Fe batteries

The ball joint spacers are essential. After I fitted them no more toe in at full droop.

Also weighed the car... total 1730g and rear : front = 57 : 43

How does this compare to other 4wd?

weight distribution

Hi Eric, don't forget this car has lighter cells than the original Ni-Cd, heavier parts at the rear and some lighter parts at the front so the weight distribution will be different. Anyway, this is RC model cars... we LOVE messing about :D

Brushed motor weight

I'm curious what my brushed motor weighed, I think it was a Parma 14x2 Cyclone? Anybody know the weight or that of a similar motors? My Novak 5.5 weighs 187g according to their website, which seems heavier. Thanks.

TBG Team Bluegroove repro Procat shells

TBG and Kamtec on eBay (I hope these links work) Also TBG do an undertray, Kamtec do not as far as I know. TBG is the same style as the original shell. A friend of mine says he called Kamtec about belt covers and they are making a mould. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Schumacher-Procat-repro-body-shell-no-wi...
