My vintage RC10T has a new look:

Got my mate Stuart Gains of Gainsy Graphics to do the paint on this one. I think he's done a great job. :D

Re: They're Breeding! - Works '92 Joins The Fleet

I am leaning towards keeping as it is now. As it is, it's very unique and does have a bit of racing pedigree so it would be a shame to mess with that. Only thing I am thinking of doing is adding a Fibre-Lyte carbon chassis, we'll see. Not run it yet but as I only need to add an ESC (got a period cor...

They're Breeding! - Works '92 Joins The Fleet

Bagged myself another Yoke! :D This time a Super Dogfighter Works 92 which has been heavily modified. When I say heavily modified I mean it has a ton of work done on it. To that end I'll copy and paste the seller's description: This is my sale for a Yokomo Dogfighter Works 92 Spec. It was bought bra...

Re: Mr Gut's 870C Project

Just realised I've got the belt running the wrong way over the tensioner. Should be running underneath rather than over the top.

Re: Old And New RC10T's

Cheers chaps. Definitely need a T2, well I've already got the shell for it :D. The T1 will soon be wearing a freshly painted original style shell.

Re: Mr Gut's 870C Project

Another update. Chassis back together! phpEKcrOZAM.jpg phpsTSGDlAM.jpg Work done so far: Chassis cleaned Diffs checked, cleaned and greased Belts replaced from stock. Have a new long belt still to be delivered which I'll fit as the one that's on it is slightly twisted. Dampers checked, cleaned and f...

Re: Mr Gut's 870C Project

Cheers Todd. I had considered dying the wheels but it's not something I've done before and I really don't want to make a mess of it. I'll have a bit of a think on that one. Those JC wheels are ace and I've got a set on my YZ10 94 but I think they are the wrong offset for the 870 plus they are slight...

Re: Mr Gut's 870C Project

A small update for you. I found some new bearings that happened to be the right size in my parts stock so I set about re-fitting the back end, after it was cleaned up. Stripped and inspected the diffs and they looked great so just cleaned those up and put new grease in. Waiting on a new long belt so...

Re: Mr Gut's 870C Project

Thanks for the glue removal tips. I've managed to remove the worst with an acetone free nail varnish remover and a stiff brush. There is a white mark left where the glue once was but that will be hidden by the steering servo. So far so good. In other news, bearing set has been ordered. A couple of t...

Re: Mr Gut's 870C Project

Hi Lee. Thanks for looking mate. I'd be interested in anything you've got really so all is of interest. I've got a complete bodyset winging it's way to me but another undertray can't hurt an the other bits will come in handy. I'll p.m you later. :D

Re: Mr Gut's 870C Project

Forgot about acetone. I shall purchase some of that tomorrow. I need to remove some glued tyres from a set of rims so need to get some anyway.
