Re: What is the worst vintage rc ever made?
I must agree that both The Frog and the Varicom Big Grizzly are good candidates - I had one of each as a kid... both crap. I would like to nominate the Mugen Bulldog, let me start by saying I have three or four of them now (3 blue cage and 1 BD-2)... But, as a kid trying to go racing in the mid-80's...

Re: Yamaha Tri Moto Advertisement
I had an ATC 110, mid-80's year-model, I don't remember exactly what year, but it was BLUE. I think they only made the blue ones for a couple years, as most Honda ATC's were Red... Anyhow, I was trying to powerslide along the top edge of a concrete ditch at the back of our neighborhood... I got too ...

Re: Motor bushing removal
Does anyone still sell a bearing puller for brushed motors?
I would like to do the same upgrade on several bushing (brushed) motors.

Re: JRX2 Pro Street...
What about the sticker on that "Revolution" motor, is that a re-print???
I ask because the color is off. The Losi motors had a brownish color for the letters, over yellow background - I have never seen black lettering, as on yours...
It looks cool! You got any more of those???

Re: Tamiya Falcon stock runner
I believe that is the original body/paint/decals on my Falcon, although the front of the body was touched-up on the OUTSIDE of the lexan (gives that dull finish...).Falcon#5 wrote:Very nice!![]()

Re: Did anyone knew sassy ever made the losi jrx2 chassis?
I have one of those chassis - got it years ago on eBay, but I never knew it was a Sassy chassis (mine was not in the package)... Another project I hope to get to before the sun boils our oceans.

A buddy of ours in the old neighborhood drove one of these (probably in '87 - '88), he rigged up his parents' big-ass home speakers in the hatch-back!!!
It was friggin LOUD!!!

I believe a shorted armature can also be revealed with an ohm-meter:
Put one lead on the commutator and the other lead on the armature shaft itself...

Yes, slot car brushes. Some of the early Checkpoint motors used a similar set-up - I have never seen this on a Trinity motor, I wonder if it was production, or a one-off customization.

Thanks for any help!

Ouch! Best of luck with recovery; I agree with others:
Give your best effort in the rehab period, if you don't get the knee back to 100% as soon as possible, it will be that much harder to make it strong down the road...
