Re: Championship Edition

Got two packages today. Two down, 1 to go. I received my idler gears and a lexan gear cover now all i need are my bearings which i was told are on their way already. by this time next week I should have the tranny completed. Once it is back together (and hopefully spinning freely) I need to pick out...

Re: Championship Edition

not sure, but i contacted him today and he finally gave me a shipping confirmation #

I agree, I don't enjoy the wait. Although I do enjoy the anticipation once I know it is on it's way.

Re: Championship Edition

I ordered the last of the parts yesterday. Anxiously waiting for them to ship.

The one ebay seller is really dragging his feet getting my order out the door. He said it would ship in 48hrs and it has been 4 business days (6 days total) since I ordered and he still hasn't shipped it yet.

Re: Championship Edition

seller RCBOYZ on ebay has all the bearings at a good price too. But has many options like ... metal sheilded, rubber sealed, teflon sealed and poly amide sealed. what do I do? EDIT: here are links to what I will probably order (if they will combine shipping) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...

Re: Championship Edition

yes, i am sorry. I was mistaken. I am just that kinda guy that checks, double checks and triple checks all I do so I don't have to do it again. No more bearing questions bar one... What is best... ceramic, rubber or metal? I would think metal, but I am supposing it would depend upon the application ...

Re: Championship Edition

So, I got the care package yesterday. I will be using the bearings I got for the rear axles. Here is what I got and what I need. Progress is slow but worth it. I am looking forward to getting it back on the road! This is what I have have thus far courtesy of JHarris http://img.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Championship Edition

spare parts are never a bad thing.. true

I am curious. what do you all recommend for lube for tranny (in and out)

Also, what about the felt dust seals? What do I replace those with? Mine were worthless and fell apart pulling them out.

Re: Championship Edition

I am not sure about that. My current gears are on their 3rd motor.

I have been using them since 1992, they have never been replaced.

In fact this is the first time I have had the tranny apart.
