Just got a great deal!
Just picked up a Team Car in the original box with manual and all from the original owner with a brand new in the package body and wing and tons of extra parts. Stealth tranny was just rebuilt with all new bearings. Some scratching on the bottom of the chassis but otherwise top notch condition. Foun...

Re: Trying to decide on a new motor.. suggestions?
I was just talking with a friend and he said I should be more than safe with a 17.5T brushless in my 6gear tranny.
EZ-Run has a nice brushless setup that is affordable too!

Re: reedy radon 17 turn motor for vintage buggy?
ok...
I am having a difficult time deciding what motor to do. I have been looking at 19 turn motors but really cannot seem to figure out what to go with. I know I want a ball bearing motor. Any recommendations?

Trying to decide on a new motor.. suggestions?
Would the reedy radon 17 turn motor be good for the buggy or should I stick with 19T?
Or how about this one....

Re: anyone know anything about these motors?
The Orion is only a couple yrs old, and I know all I need to. The other two I know nothing about. The guy at the hobby shop took advantage of me as a teenager. Are they good motors? It sounds as if you are saying the cam is hand wound... is that good? Is it worth working on? The speed works motor, h...

Re: recommended lipo setup?
wow... well I ordered my first one and went with a 20C since it seemed like that was what most batteries were for the trucks/cars/buggies
I only ordered one to start, I usually don't have time to burn through two batteries in a session

anyone know anything about these motors?
I have had these almost as long as I have had my buggy.
So I am not sure if they are just showing age or if they are not geared right when I use them.
Any ideas?
I know the one on the left is not old... it is an Orion 8T

Re: Perfect gearing / motor setup for the buggy?
Here is what I just tried and is getting close... probably a good battery would do the trick.
16 tooth pinion and 86 tooth spur w/ a 8T motor
problem is I lose the ability to control steering at WOT so I am guessing a good battery (maybe LIPO) and I would get my steering back and more speed.

Re: Perfect gearing / motor setup for the buggy?
so would this be a relatively safe setup for the 6 gear tranny? with the idea it could still kill it, is it at least on the safe side? According to the guy above it would still be insanely fast.... right? http://www.hobbypartz.com/ezrun-35a-brushless-system-combo.html or http://www.hobbypartz.com/ca...

recommended lipo setup?
I am ready to jump to lipo since I need a new battery or two anyway. not going brushless yet hobbyking has great prices on stuff but I just don't completely understand all this stuff with lipo batteries except the balancing, the "C" number and the cells. But I guess it seems that some char...
