Re: Traxxas Rustler
How do you like that gearbox? Only have a couple snow runs on the full aluminum version, ran the graphite version during the summer. Has good machining and good fit and finish. Graphite version holds bearings a bit tighter, 32 grams lighter and a bit quieter, and has anti-squat built in to the moun...

Re: Traxxas Rustler
Nice work. Traxxas got mr back into RC. I have Bandits, Slash’s, Maxx, and some TR4s but not a Rustler. I think I need one in my life. Is it worth getting the 2wd or 4wd for bashing? Max Thanks Max, Have not tried a 4wd Rustler, but have been looking into one. The 2wd is a good basher, lots of powe...

Traxxas Rustler
Got bored last year, built another Rustler.
Only thing Traxxas is chassis, links, gears, body & mounts.
Made battery mount to run a shorty pack, mounted the esc behind the battery.
Made the esc tray and battery mount out of an old chassis so the plastic would match.

Does it turn on the snow ok or have problems?

Re: Kyosho Blizzard
The chains hold up well,
had to adjust them a couple times, one time it was because I landed on the front, which I think pushed the sprokets back a bit(only 1 side, other side was still tight).
They are the same chains they used on the Optima.

Looks good
Hotshot front dogbones are a bit shorter than the boomerang ones.

Re: Hornet
They widen the front track, and have a lower shock mount, those shocks would not fit with stock arms.losiXXXman wrote:What do the super Hornet arms do? Do they widen the front track any? It looks like the increase the wheelbase slightly as well? Thanks.
Wheelbase stays the same.

Thanks
I finally ran it today, brings back memories,
a 3600 battery lasts a long time
We have one of those clamp units @ work, I just use a small vise, but I think your setup would be better.

Re: Hornet
Thanks for the compliments
I find Deans connectors alot easier to solder when held with a clamp or vise.
