Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
Very slow progress, but it's getting there.. Found a couple sets of IP4200 Lipo saddles, they're perfect for the Mid. I was able to use a stock/unmodified upper deck which I got very cheap. I'm planning to change the ball connectors with the newer version from the RB5 soon. Aside from that, only ver...

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
My problem is the fitment of the pack under the top decks. The trakpower 4800s are so darn fat with 30mm height compared to the more recent ones at around 23mm. I already poster my packs for trade/sale.

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
This one started as a Turbo Mid, that's the manual that came with it. It also had white wheels with the same size tires all around, like all other SWB Mids. Then the previous owner added the LWB conversion, along with a few nice options. FasterLouder: I do have the battery mounts for this, I'm just ...

Re: An Optima Mid, finally!
O yah, it came with a NIP Mid Custom body and undertray. I was able to work on this the last couple of nights. It's getting there. It has a few nice parts. Front one way, ball diff in the rear, alum. steering bell cranks, rear adjustable toe-in assembly. It will be running with a 10.5, looks like th...

Sat AM pickup
Pretty excited with this deal, now my Cougar 2000 stuff will be put to good use! Can you Schumacher experts tell me what it is exactly? I looked at a few in TC and seems the Cougar 2000 has more than a couple variants. http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k475/Bimdapogs/Schumacher%20stuff/DS...

Re: Gold Shocks: Kyosho or Duratrax???
I already have the Platinums from a Mid SE. I haven't tried it yet and was considering of getting the suspected DTX gold shocks in Post#1 because it's cheap. But if they are in fact Duraleaks:lol:, then I'll just rebuild the Platinums that I have.

Re: Gold Shocks: Kyosho or Duratrax???
Hmm.. I need it for a runner, if it'll just leak, then I might drop the idea.
I thought I read somewhere that the Platinums don't work as well as the Golds.

Re: Gold Shocks: Kyosho or Duratrax???
Thanks a lot for the help!
One more Q: How does the DTX compare to Kyosho's Platinums from the Mid SE?

Gold Shocks: Kyosho or Duratrax???
Are these shocks Kyosho? http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k475/Bimdapogs/Kyosho%20Optima%20Mid/Shocks.jpg I ask because I saw these on ebay, and they look very similar: http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k475/Bimdapogs/Kyosho%20Optima%20Mid/Shocks2.jpg Won't really matter much, for the $20 asking ...

Re: Another Pro Radiant
I always wondered why the front tower on my Radiant have this exact setup. My first thought was that the original 2 holes might have been cracked or something. Reading the same thread, the front UJs might actually be Kyoshos, with the lock nut as a hint. I guess I'll just clean her up and leav...
