Re: The fall of old Tekin...
[quote][Tekin always seemed to have a better punch over the Novak stuff I ran][quote] most of the tekins had a lower drive frequency than the novaks. sure they were considered a high frequency esc but when it came to stock 27t oval classes the lower the drive fraquency the more punch they had. like ...

Re: Is this true (about connectors)?
i have always used Deoxit contact cleaner (available at radioshack but i get it from work) on all my motor and battery connectors. it cleans, lubes, and protects the contacts and makes them last longer. just half a drop every few weeks and i never had any problems. http://store.caig.com/s.nl/sc.2/cate...

does the 6 speed tranny have the auto-stick feature like my hemi? i am assuming it does i know the jeeps do but they are rwd. if so she will have some fun with that, auto-stick is cool. only thing with the hemi is that when using auto-stick it defeats the 4-cyl mode so no saving fuel not even when d...

wow that was a very interesting read in deed. i use to frequent big jim's forum on rccars.com and he always use to say that he was in a way like Einstein or Tesla, a crazy eccentric genius, i never realized he was Howard Huges bad.

Re: Discussion about possible aluminum transmission and part
i vote for the tube idea that jwscab suggested, just one in each corner hole in stead of all 4. that sounds the easiest just oversise the holes slightly and install some brass tube. i really wish that Birdsboro was still racing on the concrete, i could have oval tested them for you. 1 in the truck a...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Nick Deangleis from sinking spring pa use to machine a killer wedge shaped mount for the 2.25 tranny. the mount went on the tranny and then you bolted it on the chassis between the uprights. the tranny was raised up slightly and tilted foward so the outdrives ligned up exactly where the original d.d...
