Re: Finally made the jump to LiPo
Yeah, I meant charging at 1C or 5amps (for my 5000mAh pack). Hobbyking has acknowledged that I may have gotten a "bad" pack, so they are sending a new one out. I think I'll put this one a balance charge when I get it, and try to mostly do balanced charging. I probably could afford to do th...

Re: Finally made the jump to LiPo
So, i've got my first lipo and I'm experiencing some issues. I think the battery is seriously out of balance, so I'm trying to balance charge it... how long might a slow balance take at 1s on a 5000 battery thats fully discharged? I've heard that a lot of guys don't balance, as it takes a lot longer...

Re: ROSEWOOD RACEWAY ,GOLDSBORO NC another track closing!
Sad to hear about "the wood". I went by there one time, and it seemed like it had a good crowd and strong following.. at this point I've pretty much given up on ever having the "good old days" of racing ever again, unless I move to some other place. (not likely). Seems like there...

Re: RC10B5
So you think that the overall caster at the front kingpins will actually measure up ~25*? Also, looking at the geometry of the castor blocks, it is reminiscent of the RPM steering enhancement kit for the RC10 and the Losi ProSE. How the pivot point is nearer the center of the wheel's axle.

Re: RC10B5
First thanks for the build log Sean, even though a B5 is probably not in my future atm, its still cool to see. 2 quick questions. 1. You used the 25* front suspension mount/bulkhead, and 5* castor at the hub carrier. So AE is saying that 30* is the "standard" setup on the car? For the OG R...

Re: Carbon fiber Chassis Experiment
Subscribed.. I've been knocking around the idea of building a mold form and laying up a fiberglass tub for all my Ultima parts. I thought about making it as a blank so that it could be drilled and cut for RC10 components if desired.

What body is that in the front? Did the typeR evo have a different body? Are those still obtainable from Kyosho America..or anywhere? It does have great lines.

I wa sthinking the same thing, if you wanted to run one. I think the Triumph trans would work, I bet the Ultima one would be too wide for the suspension arms.

Re: Mid Engine RC10
Hey Romulus. I'd love to see this one run, sir. Way back when the GT and other 1/10 GTs were popular, I htought a 2wd Nitro Buggy would be fun to have a as a race class. I've been playing around with the window lines on the viper myself lately...only on paper. I'm no photoshop guru, so I just traced...

Just how difficult is it to braze tubing? One of my biggest fears is also blowing up the house with the torch. Can that happen with the little propane torches?
