So my daughter is playing in the street with her friend and and the friend's dad I and start talking. Turns out he used to be way into RC until he graduated to real cars. He tells me about his Fox and Astute and such... I tell him I always wanted to check out a Fox, that there was a rere a few years...

Well I heard that there were some issues between were parts on vintage cars. I wasn't aware they were occurring on these. I do have old stock arms and suspension mounts, gearbox and such... E-parts basically. So maybe I'll order up the rere version and see if that helps out.

I've been piecing this together the last couple of months. Just picking up parts from the splitters on eBay. Didn't want to drop all the cash in one fell swoop.... Anyway, I always wanted one of these once I became aware of them because they predate my involvement with RC. But... as I was assembling...

Lol...well Kyosho is into ReRe's now...and since Jr works there maybe he could put in a recommendation lol I don't know Jeff, I'm feeling like Kyosho had their taste of Rere, and are moving on... I am losing hope that a rere Ultima will ever appear. MAYBE they are finishing off the whole series of ...

So Dennis, can you tell us more about the aluminum Ultima Pro chassis in green? Is it a reanodize, or a new from pargu anodized in green or something...

I thought that one difference between the club 10 and the other cougars was that they had a geared transmission… but I like the belt trans anyway. I do wish cougars were a little easier to find on this side of the Atlantic, but just not so much. This may be off topic, but do the front axle carriers/...

I'm just hoping a rere Ultima happens. This is the year for it to occur 30 and all. Would be unfortunate to have designed and molded all those gearbox internals and only use them for the Optima. I considered trying to stuff them into the ultima box until GomachV explained that it wouldn't be exactly...

Love your Ultima. Tomas' car is sweet too. Not as much love here for the K cars, but we are around.

We just don't see enough cool Ultima stuff around here.. Be sure to put a big wing on top. To me sprints look naked without them.

Hmm, well thank you for giving us a detailed explanation Jeff. I guess for the Ultima crowd we will just have to hope that 2017 will bring a thirtieth anniversary re-release Ultima with the upgraded gearbox. It doesn't seem too far fetched since they'd only have to make a new gearcase and diff half ...

Just wondering if the gear boxes were identical. What I am getting at is can I drop those 48p internals with a slipper clutch into an Ultima like I was hoping to......

What thickness kydex are you using there? That looks a little thinner than the 1/8 I got from McMaster. 1/16? Just curious. The 1/8 I got is going to be a b$%@ to put any bend into unless I drop it in some scalding water for a bit...
