I'm posting this question in this thread, as it might concern other people as well. I finally got hold of a black nose plate that was not cut, so that it could be used in the long configuration required by the Ten4. To my surprise the holes for the long position (marked with red) were not threaded. ...

That doesn't sound promising, at all

But to those of you with more experience with the old RC10 than me; did they come in black originally? I guess they did, and Kinwald etc. cut them to save weight?
