I guess my quesion was more about the arms/cvds, etc. Does the tranny make a difference for those parts?RC104ever wrote:The tranny makes no difference in the tire size. You can run modern rubber with either setup.

Re: *Parts needed to run modern 2.2 rims/tires on your rc10*
Just read through this whole thread and thought I had a good understanding of the parts I need to run new rims/tires until I got to the part about using the stealth vs the 6 gear. So basically the setups given on here are for the stealth? I have the 6 gear on mine - what would I need to do different...

Re: Anyone have a FlySky radio?
My old tx eats up batteries for some reason so I switched over to lipo. Paid $8 a few months ago and still havent even charged it yet.

Re: Anyone have a FlySky radio?
Is anybody using lipo in one of these? I just got mine but havent set it up yet. Switched over to a lipo in my old Airtronics tx and loved it, but I read in the rctech thread that it causes the flysky tx to run hot and could eventually cause problems.

What about using a B3 slipper with a 6 gear trans? Just replaced the slipper in my T3 with the B4/T4 one and so my T3 slipper in just sitting there...

Re: 6 gear trans restore?
Run the 6-gear and see how it is and go from there. Do make sure you have ALL the 6-gear parts are in there. I know that sounds weird like what the hell could be missing LOL, but I own 2 6-gears and BOTH were missing 1 little teflon bushing on the diff shaft. Both did not run right until I figured ...

Re: 6 gear trans restore?
Sounds like I'm just going to run the 6 gear I have. If it gives me trouble I will replace it with something else. I actually kind of like the idea of usine the original trans with new brushless stuff. I'm going to go through it this weekend and see how bad it is. Mikedeale I might take you up on th...

Re: 6 gear trans restore?
What exactly do plan on running? If you plan to stick with the 6 gear you can get the parts easily, however kind of pricey depending on what exactly you need to restore it of course. It might be less expensive to buy a parts car or transmission. You'll need full bearings for the transmission if you...

6 gear trans restore?

And if so how hard is the 6 gear to get back into working order - parts availability, etc? Thanks for the help and sorry again if this topic has alr...
