I got a kit off of ebay with a bunch of spare white parts, and there was a transmission case with it that I have not seen before. It is a 6 gear case but appears to be machined, not moulded. The nylon also appears to be denser and it is a lot heavier than a regular 6 gear.

I did something like this when I was 12 (about 20 years ago). Definitely not quite as thought out as yours, as I did not have the additional bracing. Mine was about as rigid as a wet noodle! Pretty cool set up you have.
