Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Hmmm, yes he says that but then proceeds to build it with a 32dp spur. He's giving away his guide for a buck so it can't be because he didn't have money. :D I believe your car came with 32dp but you are doing mods so I reckon you could go either way. FWIW (not much, actually) but I think a 6 gear &...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
I bought a 48dp 81T spur to go with this, but seem to have lost it, it's just gone now - but would they have used 48dp in 1985? Thanks! I believe early 6-gears came with 32dp spurs. https://media3.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExamF3NnYyZTF0eXhxdzd0OWFkOXNoODc5dnpuOWE0d2hleGh2b3NneCZlcD12MV9pbnR...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
Turns out it's the 40th nylon mold that has the rough texture to it. Left is an original knock off from Edinger, middle is a 40th with no liquid chrome, on the right is a 40th with liquid chrome. https://i.imgur.com/3oJqSwL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/31nyEgq.jpg Lucky to have an original set of knockof...

I think I have a mid to late Edinger here. No slots in the shock cups. https://i.imgur.com/TbvoaC6.jpg Frosted cover. https://i.imgur.com/3VL1WvM.jpg No writing on wrench. https://i.imgur.com/z398qqd.jpg The tires have nothing written on them. https://i.imgur.com/cPBn3nF.jpg This is the first sway b...

Another coat of chrome pen, it's getting smoother.
Going to try the Rustoleum Chrome next. Have some black wheels I want to try to chrome also.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Is there a modern 1:12 car that you like these days? Cue the obligatory Schumacher reference from me :D There is the current 1/12 World Champion Schumacher Eclipse 5: https://www.racing-cars.com/rc-models-2/cars/cars-2wd-4wd=2wd/eclipse-5-1-12th-circuit-kit-k203?returnurl=%2frc-models-2%2fcars%2fca...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Though it was overkill for my cars and my ability, I ran the 1985 ESC-190 Pro (P) black sticker, golden letters, 6 + 2 FET. Bought it as soon as I could afford it. Tekin ESC190.JPG It was the only ESC I ran for probably 10 years and it still runs just like new. Still in my Delta Spyder. Chuck Thank...

Thats what I took the thread for. Perhaps simply "What are you currently waiting for" would a better subject title?? As hard as you've been searching for the Fuchs I can understand your excitement. Congrats by the way ! Nothing wrong with this thread being about parts people are more exci...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
I wonder if they would have used their own #6192 chrome knockoffs https://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=173751&t=1 It's hard to tell with those in the bag still, but are the AE chrome knock offs, completely smooth, or do they have a rough texture with the chrome over it? Here's the resu...

The paint was a little soft still, might have waited another day to let the primer and top coat completely dry, but at least I'm not leaving fingerprints in the paint today. https://i.imgur.com/3w7i8Zb.jpg https://i.imgur.com/LJYM18j.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nYmF9mK.jpg Waiting for front shock pins a...

Re: What's in the mail? Or, What are you crrently waiting for?
If the mods need to close this, I'll understand. I haven't received anything yet in the post, I'm anxiously awaiting parts, and that wait will be at least another week. If no one else can relate to that feeling, or appreciate what's on the way, I'll understand why it's so quiet in here. Two more thi...

Re: What's in the mail?
I haven't got anything in the Post, I'm currently waiting on these parts... That's the reason I made a separate thread.

What's in the mail? Or, What are you currently waiting for?
I have two things in the mail, that will take a while to get here. The first is a decal sheet with custom colors from MCI, for a Corvette project I'm working on. The second, I looked every day for a set of these, for months, placed WTB ads, they were nowhere to be found. Spotted these by accident la...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
I like your choice of motor. I kept 2 or 3 in my rotation of motors from mid 80's thru mid 90's. I had better luck with the earlier 1985 version over the later version of the silver labeled 1987 Monster Horsepower stock motors. Still have those motors today. Chuck What's your favorite ESC, for the ...
