Re: The Unfortunately Long List Of Terribly Scammy Sites
Have to remember more of the ones i've come across and add them later, but I would guess there are some folks with a running list of full-on scam sites? Maybe if we post them in a central location it might help other members avoid getting duped? www.yokomo-shop.com www.hpiracingtoy.com www.hpi-shop...

Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....
Was curious what the new kit looked like. I set the playback speed to 1.75x and watched this one. Interesting comparison.
Box opening at 12:20 or so.

Re: RC10GT - Black Pan and Plastics - #7065
The Oder 1 on the left looks to have the tank back to front to me, you’d never get the lid open to refill in a race Not sure what to say about that, here's some pics of the old tank on the left vs the new design on the right: https://i.imgur.com/E1zNkwj.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qAp88rF.jpg The inlet...

Re: New Clear body compared to Cadillac Body
The one you are calling a Cadillac is actually a Viper body, completely different and two generations newer than the original Protech. The Cadillac era could have been a Protech, Protech II or Viper but the Protech II and Viper were on CE and Team vehicles where the Protech was on the short arm car...

Re: RC10GT - Black Pan and Plastics - #7065
Worked on the new GT for a long time today, the new GT on the right was entirely taken apart, cleaned, and rebuilt. Both GT's are ready for engines. https://i.imgur.com/oNhdC6q.jpg Interesting how the newer GT tank is mounted backwards. Found some era correct Futaba S3003 servo's that will go in the...

New Clear body compared to Cadillac Body
Got a pair of the new bodies today. https://i.imgur.com/mDSKCZB.jpg Next to Cadillac era body. https://i.imgur.com/I2P2bjv.jpg It's not as sleek as the old style. https://i.imgur.com/bhkRgFD.jpg The front window profile isn't the same. https://i.imgur.com/eXu86Gx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/gn12l89.jpg ...

Re: RC10GT - Black Pan and Plastics - #7065
The head of the bolt is stripped or the threads in the engine case are stripped? I'm not certain it's stripped yet, but one of the head screws had a few threads from the engine block on it when it came out, so the engine case might be an issue. On any other dirt bike or car, I'd drill it slightly b...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
While waiting for parts on this project, I watched this: u22BKr_aPjY At 7:53 he says the track was torn up and Brian Kinwald put in a good lap with the Losi Hydra Drive/Stealth combo, says he then bought the entire team the same setup. Having the late Stealth CE kit from '92-'96, I went looking for ...

Re: RC10GT - Black Pan and Plastics - #7065
Well, it's not something that you can literally see but you can feel it as you turn the flywheel. The pinch is the tight spot when the piston is near the top of the sleeve. Normally an engine that is worn out won't idle when warm. Thanks for the clarification, sounds like I'm ok for the moment. I m...

Getting there on the original GT. Have to wait for the replacement disc brake pad to get here, can't put the engine in without it. https://i.imgur.com/rYsaHSY.jpg The new to me GT on the right came with everything but the Rx, body, and engine. https://i.imgur.com/iU2GJxk.jpg Have the stock body for ...

Re: RC10GT - Black Pan and Plastics - #7065
If you intend to run the motors the pinch at the top of the sleeve is the main thing your looking for. You can definitely tell the engines that have had Blue Thunder run through them. Would you have a pic of the pinch at the top of the sleeve, that you're talking about? These engines both always ha...
