Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
When I wasn't able to find the carb dust cover for the OS .12 CV, I found another complete OS .12 CV non-pull start motor, listed for sale with no compression - the seller took $40 with free shipping. This CV looked way too new and clean in the seller's pics, to me, to have compression problems: htt...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
I've been wondering why #1 has a servo saver on the servo itself, and #2 has the original bell crank servo saver that came with the kit, I found the same bell crank for #1 in my spare parts. https://i.imgur.com/BwEqHWI.jpg Was looking through eBay today and spotted this: https://i.imgur.com/X2pphHH....

Waiting on parts still, in particular the engine mount bolts, there are (2) button head screws that are longer than any other in the kit, and are always the first to strip. https://i.imgur.com/4REgVeC.jpg Amazon had a (6) pack of these ASC7633 screws, couldn't believe it. I'll need at least (4) of t...

Read through the 25 Years history thread again: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=13059
- such an excellent post, it answered my question on the late Stealth CE Viper wing, it would've come with the #6182 high down force wing, which is different from the Protech I wing.

Re: Cool RC10 Progression Example... imo
I watched the same auction and couldn't believe how it shot up in the last 12 hours. It makes me very happy with my recent purchase. Did all World car kits come with aluminum shock caps or was it a mix-n-match with whatever was available? That's what I was reading about their supplies, they went wi...

Going to display this without the pack installed. https://i.imgur.com/CW0fD2k.jpg The stock body is pretty scratched up, inside and out, just from being shuffled around in the box for all of these years. Going to try the Novus plastic scratch removal kit on the stock body, I've used it for vintage t...

I don't have permission to all the forums yet. If this is posted in the wrong place please move it or just delete. I'm beginning to learn about the different progressions the original RC10 undertook during its production. I was lucky enough to view an incredible collection of RC10s over the weekend...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
Cutting the antenna tube in half is an ok thing to do. Antenna = receiver wire If the motor runs faster in reverse, then it's either still a polarity issue, or a transmitter Ch2 Normal/Reversed correction. On my transmitter, the Rooster ESC needs to have CH2 in Norm. Going from forward throttle to ...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
I'm playing with the display of all this for the shelf. Not certain on the body just yet. Vintage pack, or no pack? If pack, Sanyo bare pack, or red pack? Depends, If your gear is getting stored, I'd vote batteries in the vehicle. If you're displaying your gear then batteries out with everything el...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
Sweet job on the super sano wiring 8) Really well done. Are you hosting your pics ? Or posting them directly to the site and placing in line ? I’d love to be able to click on them and zoom in but it’s currently not possible with any of your pics. Thanks so much, very kind of you to say. I host pict...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
The thing that always looked so bad about my RC cars in the past, was the bundles of extra servo wire, or battery pack wires, in bunches everywhere. I was determined to do custom length cables. Cut the Airtronics servo wire in half, and added the pins for a J connector. https://i.imgur.com/ZTJAvWt.j...

Re: Possible Zebra RC10 CE... help requested
Hard to say exactly what year you have there, but I would agree with '94-'95 zebra kit, '96 was the last year, and has all black plastics.
The late kits are great, and so is the Stealth transmission. Congrats!

Re: Engines
If I was looking to buy a brand new engine today, the OS .12 TG, seems like the only option from OS. Looks like the shaft would need to be cut down to fit under the bell clutch, not sure how well this engine would work. https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/os-max-.12-tg-version-4/OSMG2010.html I fou...

Got the cables built, and soldered to the Arduino board. https://i.imgur.com/oeVhZBv.jpg The battery plug is horizontal, the signal wires for channels 1-3 run vertical, three channels can be run on just two connectors in this way: https://i.imgur.com/3Vp5yjX.jpg Works incredibly well, as good as Rea...
