Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
Was looking for some of those Advance Eng. Mini-Mags on eBay, and found what looks to be the correct repro's. https://www.ebay.com/itm/334565065055 https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/RDAAAOSwh4JhPwq8/s-l1600.jpg Says these fit Yokomo 834B RPS SE. I asked the seller about adapting these to RC10, if he re...

Not as neat as the rest of you, but I roll this bench in to the music room when necessary. https://i.imgur.com/L9CkfU7.jpg Seville Classics HD bench, height adjustable, and can add wheels, drawers and other accessories. The top scratches a bit too easily, but the rest of this thing is built like a t...

Made magnetic body posts for #2. Have double sided tape for now to hold the magnets to the body, if it's not strong enough I'll attach them with Shoegoo. https://i.imgur.com/xfuKKhJ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/f9DG0I7.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Gdjizop.jpg Sits squarely now, even with the version2-3 rear s...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
Just noticed something about #2, which was pre-built from eBay, the passenger side has a rear toe-in mount with at least 3 degrees, the driver side is 0 degree toe-in.

Going to go back to a 0 degree mount, found an NOS set on eBay.

If I could make a suggestion there is one paint job you rarely see done yet would be somewhat period correct…. IMG_7953.jpeg This paint job spells America with a capital M for sure ! 8) That's also really good! Building the matching pair of those, with the flyer in the display, would be incredible....

The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
A lot of you must already know this, but I recently found a site that has the original Vette from the movie, and it says the Vette was most likely an RC10 DS, and was driven by Jammin' Jay Halsey! http://www.robobugs.net/articles/dead-pool-dirty-harry-movie-radio-controlled-car http://www.robobugs.n...

Looks great, works great. Well done 8) Really appreciate the encouragement, thanks MarkyDents ! I set out to do this restoration here in this public forum, so that I would be compelled to actually finish this, and not just get tired of it, or reach an impasse and throw it all back in the attic stil...

Re: Hobbywing 1060 ESC - Brushed Motor - No Brakes, No Reverse
I did get the Rooster working, it was a calibration issue with the ESC\Rx, and it may have been a capacitor in the wrong spot too. Thanks!

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
In trying to figure out my no-brakes, and no-Reverse-delay problem, I looked at the (3) ceramic capacitors that I had to install on the motor, according to the Rooster ESC instructions. I then noticed I had placed (2) caps between + and -, and only (1) from + to the can, or ground. The correct order...

Re: Hobbywing 1060 ESC - Brushed Motor - No Brakes, No Reverse
After playing around with this for a while, I got it to work. I had to create a new model in the DX5C, Bind the SR6100AT to it, then there is a calibration sequence that has to be done immediately after initiating the Bind, by pressing throttle full/neutral/reverse, then left, middle, right on the s...

Hobbywing 1060 ESC - Brushed Motor - No Brakes, No Reverse
I recently finished a Tamiya M-06 VW Bus model, and it came with the 1060 ESC and a standard 540 motor. I have a Spektrum DX5C with the 5 channel SR6100AT Rx. I've got everything working now, except the brakes and reverse. The Tx is at all default's, I created a new model a few times now with the sa...

Re: (2) RC10GT's - Black Tub and Plastics - #7065
Another method that has worked out well for me in the past when mounting a painted body and making the holes afterwards is to light it up from underneath with a bright light. It creates a dark spot where the post is touching that you then can mark on the outside. I'll keep that one in mind for the ...
