Re: Repairing Novak 4 esc _ what tools and what parts?
Usually a diode tester will be low enough voltage not to damage FET's. The tube they shipped in is esd proof, there might be a little lightning bolt symbol on it if you look carefully. Silver solder will probably work fine if it looks like regular solder it's probably very low percentage. High perce...

Re: Repairing Novak 4 esc _ what tools and what parts?
I haven't popped into this thread for quite a while. Sounds like you're handling things just fine. In general, devices in that package don't sit flush to the PCB, that is a unique construction for our hobby to make the footprint small and help ruggedize the assembly. So that wider lead makes sense, ...

Re: Project Hyper Hornet
With that narrow front end you are basically trying to drive an old three wheeler, notorious for rollover accidents under reckless driving. I'd work on maybe widening up that front end. That will probably help reduce the amount of material needed to be removed with that tower. Since you are 3 d prin...

Re: RC10 graphite chassis #1: for trailing arms
That would be a houge trailing arm chassis. Same form factor as the other one as most of the aftermarket carbon chassis were laid up and fab'ed by composite craft and used roughly same routing masters.

Re: RC10 graphite chassis #2: odd front end
Yep Duratax. And yes, you need to hit the very edge of the chassis with a Dremel just behind the mount screws to clearance the chassis for the arms. The chassis is also quite wide in the first third of its length so most bodies don't really fit it well there. Andies pro arrow and renegade fit it wel...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?
I'm glad associated is bringing back stuff. I really wish it would have been a Jay Halsey replica though. Not complaining because I love the dedication. But it would make sense before a truck. The 'collector' aspect of the anniversary chassis makes it hard to say yeah I'm gonna get one and dye it up...

Re: 870c ReRe?
Jc racing makes wheels that fit this car and are 2.2" so you can run modern tires. We had a vintage race recently on a fairly aggressive track and a guy ran his new rerelease and broke an arm. Not sure if it was a super hard hit or if the plastic isn't the greatest so use caution on these guys.

Re: ** 2024 Vintage Showdown - "The Track" - Gaithersburg, MD - April 13th **
The event went well overall for attendance and the entries. The track surface is sealed and the course was very tricky. When you pushed too hard you ended up with some pretty good crashes and I know a lot of guys were frustrated. The local fast guys were fun to watch and knew how to drive that layou...

Re: The OS CZZ is back together, but will it run?
Was the connecting rod a better fit on the crank pin on the new part? If not that is a major failure waiting to happen.
