Re: Thinking of getting out of RC...mostly

Speaking for myself, I never fret about periods away from the r/c stuff. It just means I have a life. I went from 1988 to 2004 with the cars in the attic, and have been into guitars the last two years, to the extent my latest rc builds are sitting. You can sell off some stuff to lighten the load, bu...

Up on page 1, 6th post down, the clay on those tires is from SDRC. Never raced nights. Was going there during the day when the kid was in school a while back (I just moved up to Spokane WA).

Nice work! 8) Love seeing the process involved with production of a Shodog beauty! So many of them have appeared magically, like out of thin air.

Re: Another battered child. RPS = Rescued by Protective Serv

Thanks gents! I am not worthy, really. I think I picked up a sympathy vote for being away from the board for so long. Made it to Spokane btw! ... And then like 3 days after I got the truck unloaded, I had to leave the wife and kid with the 1/2 packed house and fly over to Goose Bay in Labr...

Brian, glad to see you back. And adding math into my explanations :) Dude it feels like ages with all this new technology all over the place. I got some catchin' up to do! All this NIX stuff for one Joey is new to me. Yeah Bubbleboy if it were me I'd play around with a design more like an A&L k...

Re: RC10.44 : Shaft Drive 4WD RC10

Awesome project! You are in a tight corner up in the front there! To add to GoMachV and JK's notes, it is by design that one can draw imaginary lines that begin at the steering knuckle pins, go right through the tie rod balls, and meet somewhere near the center of the rear axle. It is ackerman and i...

Re: RAT RODS POST YOURS ALSO!!!

This is a major work in progress. I bought a new 1/8 scale T bucket model which has 3 ways to build it so eventually this will get some work done to it.... Awesome reminder for me of of those old 1/8 scale sets! I did the Monogram Deuce Ford when I was little. You could do it leaving the fenders an...

Re: Gangstar Custom TB03

I like the copper colors a lot against blue anodizing. A while back, on a scrap piece of lexan I took some 0000 steel wool to one side, then painted the opposite side with a fine flake and got a pretty convincing matte metallic. I still want to try it on a body, but it'll be a little labor intensive...

Re: Tap tap..is this thing on?

Renting a house is stressful. I ended up selling ours in the end as it wasn't worth it. That being said there is a difference between a rental property and a home. Good luck with the move, I wish I could move to Washington. The climate is quite different to San Diego though :) Thanks mate. I have a...

I have one. I think I can get the search function to find it...hopefully. Because it's already in a box. Only 2 pics, so: http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/brijob/Yokomo/100_2867.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/brijob/Yokomo/000_0064.jpg Before, as well as body off pics are here:...

Yo. Nice site you guys got going here! Yes I've been away long enough that this build of the month thing hit me in the faces as totally new, but I do see a few threads that have refused to die. So cutting to the chase: Today, after an impressive and regrettable absence, I got down into my utility ro...
