Re: Scorpion 4x4 Build project
Oh heck no. I mean the real deall Holiday buggy rears. I wish, I still had the photos of Eustace Moore's Skoal Bandit 4wd from that period. It was an srb but it ran them.
The modern holiday buggy is the biggest piece of re re garbage that I can think of.

Re: Scorpion 4x4 Build project
Nice work! Love these builds. I have a few on here in various stages. As far as her shoes are concerned, if it were me I'd angle harder towards your first goal in the first post and get your hands on a set of Holiday Buggy wheels (if you revisit what you got up in the front.) The hexe's are function...

Re: Barrel style Resistor heatsinks
Thanks, that's very useful info and the diagram helps. How hot of a motor could that Parma speed control with resistors/heat sink handle bitd? Good question. See the brown on the pic of my Parma immediately above? Probably depended on how much time the throttle operator spent with his wiper at anyt...

Re: Barrel style Resistor heatsinks
There are other ways to use it. Parma's for example was double barreled but sat horizonatally, servo taped on the servo top. http://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=73166&t=1 http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/brijob/Parts/SpeedControl005.jpg If you have one of the stock rheostats tha...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Had these sitting for over 3 years and take occasionally internet searches to identify without success. Race Prep Fox Drive bone replacements. But I have no clue what the Fox Drive is and what used it. Anyone have good answer. I got them many years ago with bunch of Associated RC10 stuff. But I am ...

Re: SRB Hop Up Pics & Info Thread
What a difference time makes. Darn right it needs a sway bar... http://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=32411 I had a Super Champ that suffered from the same dynamic. I also lived right down the freeway from the RCH shop. There were not a whole lot of parts that were Super Champ specific. JG ha...

Re: - Edinger RC10 resto in memory of Brussels, 22 March 201
For both cars, just Dubro Cat No 181 x 4 and some 2-56 rod. At least the route I went. http://www.duanesplanes.com.au/images/T/dubro181.jpg I've never found the solder-on fittings new myself, but they seem to accumulate in the parts drawers over time. Also in both cases, it looks like the stock balll...

But it's all just rattle can! Seriously though, that thing was like 3 consecutive nights of Sportcenter worth of vinyl and xacto, occasionally interrupted by spray paint.

Re: - Edinger RC10 resto in memory of Brussels, 22 March 201
Yeah I'll buy that. I think there is a thread somewhere, maybe SCR8P was in on it, where there were other things, like actual imperfections in the tub or something that gave it away. I think they were talking about the video version though. I don't really remember. And edit...that must've been a Gen...

Re: - Edinger RC10 resto in memory of Brussels, 22 March 201
Awesome! McMaster sells set screws with nylon tips to avoid the acne if need be. Not authentic but maybe preferable. And the really authentic shocks are worn really bad on the inside on only one side (where the lopsidedness of the slotted piston was driving it into the side of the shock body  :...

Re: - Edinger RC10 resto in memory of Brussels, 22 March 201
Nice. Since you asked for opinions, I'd go the Gene route. Curtis has been done a couple times and I'm biased there. Like all genius ideas, each replica idea was independently hatched   You really need frp battery straps and if you cant get Goodyear front ribs, I'd just go with SRB fronts...
