Re: Quick question..

Thanks for the info! My diffs, actually my whole car, is still brand new, but as we're probably going to run it, we're trying to gather info for when we do need parts!
Thanks again,
Doug

Re: 870C question

I assume you are saying there were some white arms manufactured by Yokomo? Don't know anything about those but there were some white arms made for the 870c/YZ10 manufactured by Andys.

Re: my 870c / '09 v-nats entry

AH! It's a sandblast process! What a stupid I am.. In the company I work for there are labs with sandblast / mediablast machines, so I could ask for the service.. at the price of a cup of coffee. While glass beading is very similar to sandblasting, do NOT sandblast them!! Glass beading is ve...

Re: Part Resources

Also, many of the YR4 parts are a direct fit (those part numbers start with ZR) Does this mean that EVERY part on the YR4 that starts with a ZR is a direct fit for the 88 to 90 YZ10? If this is true, does anybody know where I can chase down a parts list and a diagram for the YR4. This would be very...

Re: Bearings for the Yokomo 834B

Rubber sealed bearings do stay clean longer but they also have more resistance. I like the teflon which have less resistance and still do a pretty good job sealing the dirt out.

Re: New member

As I understand it, 4 wd is only required when you are cornering, or the car loses traction. Otherwise, 2 wd is faster as the power from your motor is going to less moving parts. So, if you are in a straightaway and the car is tracking true, you are a bit faster. When you lose traction, or go into a...

Re: Weakest parts on the Yokomo 834

I'm afraid you're going to find that the plastic used on these is not as strong as you had hoped. I found a picture of the rear arm reinforcements I was talking about. I did a google search for Hot Trick Yokomo and saw several of the hop ups that used to be available. Hopefully it will give you an i...

Re: Weakest parts on the Yokomo 834

Where I used to run, the 834b's went through a lot of rear trailing arms. Some of the guys would reinforce them with a graphite, fiberglass, or aluminum plate mounted on the outside. I'm not sure if there was a second plate on the inside.

Re: Brand-Spankin New YZ-10

the rims are 2". you need the narrowest 2" spiked tires as possible to fit on these rims.
Thanks. Any chance you know the brand and/or part number on those rims and tires?

I measured the flat chassis on my YZ-10 for you. It measures 2.5mm. In my opinion, 3 mils would make a fine chassis for you.

Re: Brand-Spankin New YZ-10

Make sure you find a better way to route that wire between the saddle packs or it'll rub the belt and spur.
Who can show me a pic of how you guys are routing that saddle pack wire?
Thanks!
