Re: NRC-24 1/24scale RC10 replica

Better late than never. Finally got to run through a pack with this car. https://youtu.be/iX6fidecUCE iX6fidecUCE It handles Carpet pretty well, didn't get to test any jumps but it should handle small ones fine. This thing is pretty fast for it's size and was driving pretty well against a few MiniZ ...

Re: Rogue's JJ Ultima retrofuture edition

Another thing that i've done is cut a new motor guard out of Kydex so I could add a cooling fan, also my original one got a bit bent after someone rear ended me. One thing of note, the bolt pattern for the top of the mount matches the pattern for the fan IMG_20240326_190042844.jpg Bonus is this shou...

Re: Any tips on reducing a collection

Yeah this didn't work. This year I am making a conditioned shed to hold my collection. I was originally going to sell off my RC stuff that I hadn't used, put together a XXX-4 to sell, but decided to give it one last run at the local track...Now my collection has tripled in size and only a single tr...

Re: Rogue's JJ Ultima retrofuture edition

So more on the big bore upgrade. I've put the option shocks for the Geforce Genova onto the Ultima. GOP106 front and GOP107 rear. Screenshot 2024-03-10 203306.jpg These are well made shocks, easy to build and bleed. went with 45wt front 50wt rear. Springs are AE red front and yellow rear. The shocks...

Been using #16 blades but a rounded blade does seem to make more sense for curves. I'll definitely give those a shot, thank you!

Re: My Attempt at doing something less basic

Admirable attempt on a Complex paint job. On the plus side... There wasn't any real bleed through between colors. +1 on the dislike of window nets. Bet it would have looked really pretty backed in white. Taping some cellphone to a scrap wood frame makes for super cheap practice panels... if you ign...

My Attempt at doing something less basic

Painted up a spare Yokomo body over the weekend. Decided to try to replicate the scheme on my XX-4 and X-5. IMG_20240324_220420807.jpg IMG_20240324_210942416.jpg Things I learned: -cutting compound curves is a pain in the ass, especially on curved surfaces -need to get better on consistent cutting d...

Surprisingly capable even on today's tracks too. I swear I'll post something about an RC10 on this site at some point!

Re: Anyone Gotten Into The SLA Resin World?

I collected a few more things today, and finally got the machine on and such. I went to test an exposure test, and the machine wouldn't zero at all, so updated firmare and reset the machine. It went through the motions, and first print (printer parameters), nothing stuck to build plate, and then se...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

I'm embracing the big ass battery idea.
Created some battery hold downs, swapped the 3d printed standoffs for aluminum ones, got some fresh JConcepts tires demounted and put onto a set of my Pro wheels.

Re: Anyone Gotten Into The SLA Resin World?

One thing of note is Part orientation is not what you'd expect and parts shouldn't be flat to the build plate as it often caused the print to fail.
