Re: Hybrid buggy build

Looking good! Man I had forgotten all about the SPIKE esc. Installed of of those in a friend's car before, I think it was a super blackfoot.

A few month ago I wasn't a collector, Then I bought a Mini JRX2 and it set me off to buy the originals. Now I have all 3 JRX Buggies and a bunch of other Losi stuff. The rabbit hole goes deep but I don't have regrets.

Looks to be in really great shape! Not often you see the OG mechanical speed control on them either.

Re: Converting RC10 Graphite to RC10 Graphite Replica

for the amount of work it's easier to just use aluminum standoffs that are already tapped. They are common and cheap. Bonus is they're usually a hex so you can put a wrench on them if you need to keep it from spinning.

Re: JRX Pro ebay find, runner rebuild

Going through some stuff i realized I had an extra set of truck threaded shock bodies. The shocks on this car weren't a matching set and on top of that the silver front bodies don't seem to seal up to the newer style of cartridges very well. I needed an excuse to use my new ultrasonic cleaner so I c...

Re: Project RC10 graphite…team car?

A piece of K&S #83060 aluminum tube cut to length will teplace that bent wing tube just fine. But that rear shock tower looks like it might be cracked. It might need replacement or upgrade. . Hmm, I might have to do that with a couple of my Losis. Would need to turn one end down to fit though.

Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

My favorite oldie is the 2nd ESC I owned, a Tekin TSC 411-G2. It's got quite a bit of mileage on it but was a solid ESC. One of the first to have solder posts iirc. I'm not sure how well the regenerative braking actually worked but that was pretty cutting edge stuff for 1993. It came with used LXT I...

Re: Project RC10 graphite…team car?

I can't tell you much about RC10s but it does look like a good base to restore into a runner. As far as letting the kids run it, might be better off getting them something less rare and with more parts support. like something Traxxas. Kids will be kids they're gunna crash whatever you give them a co...

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build

Took me a while to figure out why there where additional holes drilled and the right side of the chassis was cut and bent outwards. But then it dawned on me. This thing was at some point converted to electric!!! You can still see the trace of a motor mount if you look really close! The cutout on th...

Re: Outlaw Rampage Pro runner-build

Not sure what the deal with the engine is. The case is huge for a .15! But it somehow is very light?! Can’t even tell what brand it is. Maybe a Force? Took a pic with an O.S. 15CV-X for size comparison. They don’t do it justice… That's definitely Force's logo on the case. Not sure what model engine...

Re: Steve's 3d prints

Good paint work on these! The detail work on the Joker one is really nice. Good call on adding the water effects.
