Re: My Pro-X project

Little update: I dyed the arms with a teal blue color. They came out a little greener than I wanted but they look way better and I think I can work with it color scheme wise. Here are a couple of pics and just for the hell of it a pose with my beautiful new Losi XX (thanks Rick!) and one with my 16 ...

Re: Wild One Project

Yep, I can't complain about mine either. She's put up with me and my toys since 1984. She even wants to surpise me with stuff but she can't tell a Super Champ from a Tyco Turbo Hopper.

Re: Wild One Project

Me too! I get home in early afternoon so I can usually intercept the stuff from USPS or UPS. Dang Fedex is always late in the day though. Kind of hard to explain "another" box arriving. It really doesn't matter anyway though since she sees the Paypal stuff on the account.

Re: Wild One Project

Hey Rick, how is this project going? Those wheels should be showing up today I think.

Very nice Rick! How did the bottom of that repaired chassis come out?

Re: My new Ultima

That's the truth. The more I look at this car the better it looks! I think I can even save the paint job. The stickers have to go unfortunately since they were applied over blue overspray of some sort that covers the body. It doesn't show in the pics. I experimented with goo gone and some ...

Re: Soaking a Rusty Sway Bar?

The only issue with putting it back on will be if it gets wet or is exposed to high humidity. It will rust again. I suggest maybe a light clearcoat or wax it thoroughly to keep it shiny. And yes, my mom said it's ok too.

Re: Hey guys, another RC10 newbie.

That pile makes me drool! Getting parts lots and imagining what you could build with it is almost more fun than complete cars...almost! By the way, I use dish soap, scotchbrite pads, some really good stuff called Oil Eater that I got at Costco, toothpicks, toothbrushes, Q-tips and Super Cl...

Re: Wild One Project

I like the orange too, at least from the picture. The right accents on the rest of the car could really make it stand out.

Re: My Pro-X project

Nope, I'm sorry Chris. I have just the car itself and one extra tranny case. You might ask Jay-Dub, I know he had a few extra parts kicking around.

My new Ultima

I was surprised to find that I had won this Ultima when I opened my e-mail a week or so ago. There were only three bids placed on it which amazed me. When I bid on it I had thoughts of using it for parts for my other Ultima. The pictures on the auction showed an extremely dirty, greasy, rather incom...

Re: My Pro-X project

Hey guys, could one of you that know tell me if the a-arms on this car will accept dye? I am quite unhappy with their yellowness never mind the blue over spray that I can't get out. Since they're not going to get any better I think I'd like to dye them black.
