Re: My RC10 Racer Project (6016) Updated Again

I'd mask 'em off and spray them on the outside. That'll cover up the white and it will be easy to touch up.

Re: Pretty In Pink -- RC10...

Since opinions are like belly buttons I my as well share mine. I like the white wheels but you could spice it up by making the rear ones pink...or pink all around. I have to agree the yellow ones certainly stand out but they clash with the car's color scheme. Just my 50 cents.

Re: Is this RC10 worth the trouble?

Wow, that sure cleaned up nice! Here is a link to give you a bit more info on these: http://www.theshreves.com/rc_stuff/rc10history.htm

Your A tub is probably one of the originals they started making in '84.

Re: On my list

This one just got torn down today for parts. We'll see if I still care about building another by the time all the previous cars are done!

Re: On my list

This one will be done to replicate the original car I had back in '87, or at least as well as my hazy memory will serve me. I bought the wheels off e-bay already dyed this color which is identical to what I did back then and inspired the project.

Re: On my list

Yet another one that will need a complete refurb...and another that needs the tub straightened.

Re: On my list

Not too sure what this is. Mostly a conglomeration I think. All parts will get black dye and the tub will get straightened (of course!) I could use a pair of the rear hardened shocks to be consistent.

Re: On my list

This one will be a runner as well. I think this is mostly CE but I'm sure someone will tell me what's not correct. :D

Re: On my list

Still gathering parts for this one. I painted the tub and it looks like it. It was pretty badly warped too. It'll get stripped and I'll have another try at it or just get another tub. Also need to dye all the parts black.

Re: On my list

This one is currently in progress. I have most the parts to make a decent runner out of it.

On my list

I've had this car for a few months now, snagged it at a swap meet. From what I can tell it's a CE and seems fairly complete and original. Is this correct? The tub is pretty nice except for an unfortunate notch in the right side. Straight as an arrow too for a change. The battery cups are cut but I c...

Re: My RC10 Racer Project (6016) Updated

It looks like you stripped the paint? Did the Lexan turn brittle? You may want to paint it white or else paint it on the outside otherwise all that discoloration will probably show.

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10

I think they're just saying that the chassis look good enough in their worn condition so don't go to the trouble of getting it powder coated. I say powder away! After all it's your only RC10 (so far) so make it the way you want it! :)

Re: Losi Guy building Rc10

Rick, how about a dark metallic blue or red to offset those wheels? You could add matching yellow striping to the body to pull it together.
