Re: Homemade tub chassis?
Thanks a lot, this is what I was looking for. The search function of the forum told me that "chassis" is a too common word and that it would not serch for it. (no joke!) Sounds complicated... maybe not a good idea... My daughter came up with the idea to make it similar to folded pape...

Homemade tub chassis?
Hello friends of the RC10 Does anybody of you have experience in making a tub chassis from aluminium? I would be interested in making one, but there are a lot of questions... Which material is good? What heat threading processes are needed (before, between, after forming processes...)? How to do it?...

Re: Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion
Drawing of the chassis: https://i.postimg.cc/NyghWwdd/Losi-Mini-T-Buggy-Conversion-Bild3.jpg The body could look like this. Does anybody have experience in vacuum forming? I think I will have to mill the mould from wood and then vacuum form the body from PET-G ("Vivak"). https://i.postimg....

Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion
Hello Friends of the RC10 Looking at my Losi Mini-T "1.0" (old rear motor version) I found that if I would stretch this thin a little bit, it would be quit exactly a "3/4-Scale-1/10-Buggy". With 180 mm instead of 240 mm, according to that the wheelbase should be a bit less than 2...

Re: RC10 Basher CNC
This is how it looks now. I made the parts whick connect the nose brace upper deck to the noseplate and the upper deck to the rear bulkhead. As you can see it is getting serious here. Or series? If i have the machine ready I always make two, three or four, when the machine is ready it is done ...

This is how it looks right now: https://i.postimg.cc/PvmWx4RM/P1090016.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/qzTcFPND/P1090019.jpg Still some work to do. Sand the edges, brush, anodize. And don't laugh at the VCFS ("various chassis flex system TM"), also called "cable ties" :D , which fix the...

Re: Shock Cap thread and 1/8" hinge pins
Thanks a lot. To be very precise: - Shock towers are not the problem, I will design and cut them on my own anyway. Of course I could design them for .71 Buggy shocks, but I like the look of the long shocks. So I have to make shocks, this is why I am looking for the thread (diameter, pitch, angle). -...

Re: Shock Cap thread and 1/8" hinge pins
Thanks for all the hints and ideas! Concerning the hinge pins: - Reaming the original parts would be an easy solution, but I don't want to work on original parts, they should stay original. - Lunsford is a good idea, but very expensive. I will convert at least 10 cars... - I have 5 Meters of 3mm rou...

Shock Cap thread and 1/8" hinge pins
Hello friends of the RC10 Does anybody know what thread the shock caps have? Diameter, pitch, angle? And: I would like to use metric hingepins (3mm), but they would have to much play. Has anybody made experiences using a sort of bushing? Should be 3mm inside and 3,175mm outside diameter which leaves...

"Low-Profile" servos as used in modern touring cars can also be a good idea.

Yes of course, with some kind of small upper deck. Just have to draw and mill it.

Slowly moving on... (Meanwhile starting the RC10"Basher" project https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=47249 ) Here is the "could have been": Have a look at the motor by the way. I found that heli-outrunners from 450-size-models (like Align's T-Rex) are ideal for the ...

RC10 Basher CNC
Hello friends of the RC10 I'm alway in doubt wether I shoud use my RC10s in bad conditions (dirt, mud, snow, skatepark...). It would be a lot of fun, but it would also be a shame to destroy original parts. So I bought a CNC Machine and I will build some "Basher-RC10"s for my Hobbyroom. Big...
