I'd keep the hood but lose the side panels and half the roof....just leave it over the cab with a little hangover at the front. Then maybe add a skid plate under the motor. Thanks I was thinking about putting a plate under the motor in the rear. Your suggestion validated my thoughts. I've got a pic...

I really like all the different inputs! Thanks for the ideas. One other thing I'd like to add is I've got 2 scale KC style lights coming that I was thinking about mounting on the front of the roof, one on each side to give the car a more dune buggy look.

justinspeed79 Now that's a thought, I was really looking at the Real Racing chassis instructions on line and tried to utilize the pre placed body mounting holes in the chassis. The original body pieces that came with the kit were a thin lexan. I was hoping the aluminum would look cooler...any opinio...

Let me get right to it. I started fabing sheet metal panels for this build. I would really like the car to turn out looking more like a dune buggy rather than a sprint car. What do you guys think? Should I continue with the panels or lose them? If I keep them should they be painted yellow or left na...
