Camping Downunder

G'day guys I have something to show thats just a little different from the Norm. My father who is a retired toolmaker, hand made & scratch built this 1/10 scale caravan. He scaled it off his 1:1 caravan, right down to the decals on the side. It's completely made of timber, all the furniture insi...

Re: My Wild One finished (finally)

An exhaust for the Wild One is a top idea! I was just making a rear cage & exhaust for my Sand Rover, didn't think to make one for the WO

Re: My Wild One finished (finally)

Some more action pics, this is quickly becoming my favourite car. I love the realism. Can't wait to get electrics in all 3 of my sand scorchers. The local beach will look like a baja race!

Re: My beloved Porsche 959

The shocks are fine, but not for really rough stuff.

I'm not the photographer, my 8 year old son is. He's one of these "genius" children, excels at everything he puts his mind toward, but still can't tie his own shoelaces.......

Re: Blinged up Re Re hotshot

Heres a couple of pics of it's first outing. I was worried that it wouldn't turn corners that well since it doesn't have much of a turning circle, but I found that when approaching a corner if u back out of it then get back on the power it would just drift around.
Looked great on the track

My beloved Porsche 959

I got this a couple of years ago, it was apparently built for Toy traders in Sydney back in 85 for a hobby show. It was run a few times at the show then put in the box. Until now. I got the box, manual, second set of wheels with slick tyres, preiod radio gear, spares etc. The body has a few small ti...

Re: Metallic black Brat

That is an option as the other shell is still under the bench, but I've already entered the hotshot, Wild one & rc10. I only raced 2 classes last time & it was quite full on getting ready each run, would have been nice to have some more time to talk to everyone since it was my first event. r...

Re: St Ives RC track, my first drive of an RC10!

Hi Darryn, Can u bring your Celica to Ryde on the 23rd? I'd like to get them together lights blazing for some pics. The RC10 sure is sweet to drive, I just put a stock 540 in the back though just to have a run, will have a sports tuned for November though. My 8 year old son strung 3 really nice clea...

Re: the 1:1 scale car thread

Heres my daily hack & toy.
It's a 1971 Superbug with a Subaru WRX Turbo (Impreza) engine in the back. This is my first car that my parents bought me back in 1992. Wrx engine has been in there since 2004. Has 201hp @ the wheels (150kw) on only 8psi boost.
Lots of fun!

St Ives RC track, my first drive of an RC10!

G'day guys, had my first drive of my rc10 today at St Ives RC track. Let me just say that coming from driving a Tamiya Frog, the RC10 is FRIGGIN FANTASTIC!!!! It goes where u point it, has loads of suspension travel, doesn't bounce all over the place. I simply love it! I also had my first drive of m...

Re: My Wild One finished (finally)

heres some pics of the gearbox conversion. I just turned the standard red Wild one mounts upside down, then the lower Wild One alloy mount mounted perfectly to the frog gearbox. It literally took 10 minutes to fit. It's like it was made for it.

Metallic black Brat

The Brat is Back! earlier this year I completely trashed my box art Brat racing at the Sydney Vintage Meet. Its now received a new body set, painted in Tamiya Metallic Black, with 3 coats of Gloss & a set of original Brat decals. The mountain bike that used to reside in the tray, was too far gon...
