Re: RC10 goes slow, gets hot, stops, please help!
HI Guys Just a quick update. Got hold of a 87 tooth spur gear (thanks Bormac) mayed to a 18 tooth pinion. Took it for a run in the back yard only & it lasted the whole battery pack & was noticably faster. Was picking up the front wheels on pavement! But, I could smell it getting hot (I kept ...

Re: RC10 goes slow, gets hot, stops, please help!
I thought that I would take Darryns advice & change the esc. I went to the local bmx track so that I could at least have some space to wind it out to see if it was still slow. At first it wasn't too bad. But still not as quick as I would have liked, so I kept going to see if the heat would get t...

Re: RC10 goes slow, gets hot, stops, please help!
it doesnt' get any easier does it? Installed the 74 tooth spur but the smaller diametor, coupled with the small pinion, they can't reach each other. The motor has no more room to slide up as it hits the white gearbox.
Any ideas mate?

Re: RC10 goes slow, gets hot, stops, please help!
I'll try the different gearing first.
I deliberatly drove it on the grass to see if it would overheat again, I just put a whole battery through the Wild One on the same grass, & it has the tallest gears i can put in it's Frog gearbox.
I'll change the gears now & give it another go.

Re: RC10 goes slow, gets hot, stops, please help!
Thanks for the reply Darryn, I had Bugle check the backlash for me at the track. I moved the esc up on to the rear shock tower so that it gets a little air flow, rather than being down in the tub, I also changed the motor for the sports tuned out of my Brat as I know that flies. I just went out into...

RC10 goes slow, gets hot, stops, please help!
This is my first RC10 so it's been a bit of a learning experience. I went to a vintage meet last week, took off on my first heat, thought the car was a little slow, it did 4 laps & just stopped. The esc had turnd it off as it was hot. Now, I have fully ballraced the 6 speed gearbox, bearings for...

Re: Personalising my gold pan
Had my first run with the rc10 on the weekend. Received some custom Bling wheels from Bugle during the week & they look fantastic! The meet was washed out at lunch & my car stopped halfway through the first heat. The motor smelt hot (new sport tuned) & after it cooled down it ran again. ...

Re: Blinged up Re Re hotshot
G'day Guys Had my first run with the hotshot at a Vintage meet yesterday. I only got to run 1 heat before it was called off because of the rain. I won my first heat & I had a ball, there were 2 other hotshots, terrascorcher, AYK pro , Kyosho optima & I think a schumacer something. Got lots o...

Just a couple of nice pics of a really cool car. Has full radio gear, sport tuned motor etc, but will probably only sit on the shelf. Road cars aren't really my thing, only got it because it's a Porsche

Gold HotShot
This was the first HotShot that I built. It just sat on the shelf & then I sold it to buy Sand Scorcher parts. i missed it so I got another to run. I really liked the way it turned out but I like the purple one better.
Enjoy

Re: Spare Parts, BAJA - 10
Heres some more paint scheme ideas for u. U will have to trim the arches a little , I had to on my RC10 as I wanted the body quite low so as to hide the chassis for some more realism, strangley enough it helps the handling having the body as low as possible. If u want to run modern 2.2 inch wheels &...
