Re: kyosho ultima clone, do you know what is it?
This car looks to share many of the same parts as the Sinyhi (sp?) car. The tranny on this car is gear though, and the former was belt. Also, the shocks and chassis/tub are different.

Re: Been thinking about this for a bit....Nitro 12L3
Looks great! I have had similar aspirations of a build like this. I guess the only critique/suggestions I would offer is to mount a micro servo on the pod for throttle and break, and to mount the fuel tank above the t-bar to keep the weight centered. Either that, or two small tanks connected with tu...

Re: Wider suspension arms
Sorry for the late reply. TRX3 arm are 62.5mm center to center on the hinge pins. Fit for castor blocks and bulkheads look really good. Even the spacing for the shocks look good. I have not mounted them, as I would have to take them off of my TRX3 to verify

Re: gforce spring gauge
Mk-zero has a valid concern though. Yes the side has graduated measurements, but the device really needs to have an adjustable down stop in order for it to be truly accurate. Otherwise one will be "eyeballing" all of the springs measured with regard to dimension compressed.

Re: Wider suspension arms
BTW, all though it may be blasphemy, Traxass TRX3/TCP arms are perfect if you would like to widen the front end to legal limits and use modern offset rims. I can post pin widths to see how close to your they are to yours if you would like. -J

Re: Procat/Bosscat prototype...
Ok, well had time to finish it today. At least what was included with the car. I did take two liberties though: 1) I built the car with all new metric hardware (where applicable), and I added period correct wing mounts. I know the car had wing mounts similar to what I have mounted because of the exi...

Re: Procat/Bosscat prototype...
Cool, thanks for sharing. Yeah the chassis looks to be Fyberlyte to me. Many of the parts on that car look similar to the one I have. It is about half rebuilt. Maybe this weekend I can post pics of the cleaned up car as I received it.

Re: Procat/Bosscat prototype...
Sweet!, the plastic ones on the car are really close to those. The production pieces have two holes per piece, and a flattened area for the servo. Th plastic one from the car look like a production version of those (see pics). Thanks -J

Re: Procat/Bosscat prototype...
Well, I though it may be yours, as it had red dirt in the crevices (common in the south  ) and mostly AE hardware. I would love to see some pics if you had some laying around. Oh yeah, and some insight on what the front bumper looked like . Also, I seem to remember a pic from the winter c...
