Re: What’s the Ultima chassis kick-up angle?

I believe the original kick up angle on the ultima is 20 degrees. I remember shimming the front bulkhead to get it to 25 degrees for a better castor angle. -Jeff

Re: Removing glued on tires

Most of the time, acetone will change the tires. I tried to remove some losi siver tires once this way. The tires shrunk to the size of 1/12th scale tires after drying out. Never could get them to hook up after that  . I have had many other tires shrink this way as well. If you are looking to r...

Re: Masami Father Hand Made ABC 1/12 1986

I am pretty sure there is no "ban" on independent front suspensions. Only the REAR has to be a straight axle. I just looked in my ROAR rule book just to make sure, and could only find the front suspension mentioned. Looks like a legal car to me. -Jeff

Re: TRX1-Everybody is doing it!

I will propably stick with the B3 bodies, as they are cheap, and have a moulded back end on them (which I prefer :)). If I ever built a shelfer though, I would pick one up though. -Jeff

Re: TRX1-Everybody is doing it!

Yes, they are the 60.5 mm drive CVD shafts, with the Kyosho optional axle for the "proline wheels". Goes right together :) That coupled with the OT-5 outdrive from Kyosho on the diff. -Jeff

Re: TRX1-Everybody is doing it!

Heres a few more pics. The bearing pic is of a std. 3/16 x 3/8 bearing as the spur adaptor. Lightly presses on hex shaft, no more brass or plastic bushing :D . The chassis pic is where the chassis got cut to accomodate the B3 body. The rear shaft pic is of the optional Kyosho "proline wheel axl...

Yes, they are TRX1 front axles, trimmed an anodised. I will post more pics soon. Finished off the tranny tonight, trimmed the chassis. Just waiting on CVD's and a few other odds and ends. -Jeff
