Girls...

So I found may self in a very interesting and introspective position over the last few nights. My daughter's birthday is coming up (she will be six on the 12th), and she asked me for an RC car. Quite surprised I told her she could have one, but she would have to help clean and re-build it. So I pull...

Re: Scratch Built offroad car build up

Originally I used long YZ-10 driveshafts and hubs. I am sure other setups can be found though. -Jeff

Very nice work. In your 3d rendering, can you render with perspective? -Jeff

Re: My Kyosho Ultima Build

Remember, these axles are for the RB5 rear hubs, not the Old original ultima hubs. There is no guarantee they have the same dimensions (as hou have found out) you just need some more spacers, and you should be good. -Jeff

Re: free scratch built car build up

Well, I think the reason I designed it with that much anti-squat was because of the amount I had been running on my Schumacher XLS and subsiquent cars (up until the procat) which I think is the way they were run back then :?: . I took a look at my 1990 nats car (needs a re-build badly), and noticed ...

Re: free scratch built car build up

    . Yes! Considering the tracks I ran on during that era were unbelievibly high bite, I wish I had a better knowledge of chassis dynamics then. If memory serves, the rear toe blocks could be swaped (left to right) to help remove most of it though. -Jeff

Re: free scratch built car build up

The car was a runner at one time, but being a factory driver for schumacher I rarely had an opportunity to run it without causing a "ruckus". It only had a few runs on it, what I do remember was the wicked acceleration compared to my schuies (propably the strealth tranny vs. the belt). I a...

Re: Getting a TOP CAT to steer.

Ah, I love the old top cats. I never had one, as I started driving for shumacher when they came out with the next version car, but I always wanted one. But I do remember that the cars I originally had also had steering issues. I tried a million things on the car, and eventually started disecting oth...

Re: Custom Works Dominators and Kraft radio

Sorry, I would have to disagree (about the dominator being the best car). I think the SRP1 was the best. Basically a fully CNC'd aluminum and carbon copy of the dominator. Very pricey, but the quality was far Superior. (pun intended). -Jeff

Very nice. It inspires me to start on my own RC10 build (all except the rear suspension blocks being mounted on differently on the left and right sides of the car) :P . -Jeff
