Got these parts recently, and was wondering what they were? Some of them appear to be Rocky?

Re: Bosscat question

It was a LATER option actually, as the Bosscat predates the 2000 series of cars. The white ones were first, then there were grey molded units, and about thet same time came the rebuildable purple alloy units. I stopped using the Shumacher units when they came out with their wider springs (the powder...

Re: Kyosho Lazer ZX -- 2010 VONATs Entry....

The rear arm bracket #2 refers to the amount of toe in the rear hinge pin. This block gives the car 2 degrees of toe per side. The front block alters the amount of static anti squat the car has. There is no "Right" way to run it. It also has an effect on roll center. If you are having a pr...

Re: Kyosho Lazer ZX -- 2010 VONATs Entry....

I have a recently restored/moded ZX, and found (I bet it is the same on the ZXR Mk2) that these cars have insufficient rear toe in. The only blocks I can find for the rear of the ZX only give one or two degrees per side, and every car I have ever owned (including every shumacher) has had 3 degrees o...

Re: Race ready Hot Trick Optima with Pro Body!!!! Question?

I recently machined up a slipper unit for my ultima, and it came out pretty good. I may do another for my optima project. I am planning to post pics of my "Ultimate Ultima" project as soon as I can get some time to vacuum bag a chassis, and finish it. The slipper looks promising, and uses ...

Re: Kyosho Lazer ZX -- 2010 VONATs Entry....

I have recently finished my own ZX, and purchased the Kamtec body and tray set (very nice btw) They do not fit the standard ZX without some modifictions to the stock ZX chassis however. I would suggest buying the body and tray set and (during your rebuild) put the chassis in the under tray to see wh...

Re: Schumacher Cat/Cat XL/Cat XLS Parts

I think what you are seeing is people who are putting together shelfers from parts they have been collecting for years. I have watched for several years on e-bay and here, and NIP parts are quite rare. However, I have recently sold most of my collection of parts for the XL/XLS, and was suprised that...
